Cajun Catfish. Tender marinated catfish either grilled or fried, topped with our homemade crawfish etouffee. TaD’s favorite.

First time for breakfast here. The beignet fries are delicious! I tried the chicken Benedict with gravy instead of queso , hollandaise or crawfish etoufee sauce. It hit the spot. They have added some new menu items for dinner. I am excited about coming back to try. If you love Cajun you should try this place.

We live just down the road and have been to Tad’s probably a dozen times. The food is generally good, a bit overpriced. The batter they fry with is just a bit sweet which can be nauseating if you eat too much.

I don’t know why I waited so long to try this place. I’ve been eating at Razoo’s for my cajun fix but this place is so much better. We started with the Crawfish Queso for an appetizer, it is cheese sauce with bits of crawfish and pickled jalapeno slices served with tortilla chips and it was very good. I had the Crawfish Ettoufee plate, it’s a very large serving to help justify the $19 price and comes with a slice of garlic bread. Very good flavor, not too spicy (I added some cajun seasoning from the table) maybe coulda used a bit more gravy but I would order it again. My girlfriend had the Jambalaya plate. It comes with sausage, pork and chicken over rice and a slice of garlic bread. The sausage on this was incredible, very smoky and full of flavor. This plate was entirely too much food for my girlfriend and in hindsight she wished she had gotten the smaller sized portion, but left me with a tasty lunch the following day. I can’t wait to come back here and try some of the offerings on the extensive menu.

Our dinner at Tads was awesome! The food was delicious! Cooked perfectly. And our server Destiny Neely was the best !!!! friendly , professional and extremely pleasant to be around. We will highly recommend Tads to our friends and Destiny is a huge part of the reason why. The best Cajun and sea food in College station.

It smells amazing once you walk into the building! Pretty good price to food ratio in my opinion. We had the blackened shrimp Alfredo, Jambalaya and the popcorn shrimp! Everything was pretty good! Definitely going back.

We tried this for the first time. I feel it’s been open long enough to avoid the crowds. There were still some folks waiting outside for lunch but it wasn’t packed –maybe a 5-10 minute wait. The building is very roomy with the bar taking up about 1/3 of the restaurant. It’s nice. Our waitress was nice and attentive. My wife and I decided to split an appetizer and get sides — she got a small salad and I got the Jambalaya bowl. We both enjoyed it, though my soup could have been warmer. We split the seafood appetizer which is alligator, catfish, and popcorn shrimp for $16.99. It was all pretty good though the alligator was my least favorite of the three. While I haven’t had alligator in a while, I don’t remember it being so chewy (almost like jerky). The catfish was the best, very moist and delicious. It was too much food for my wife and I, actually. We couldn’t eat it all but I would certainly try just a catfish plate if I come back.

Food; the gumbo here is where it’s at. It is the best gumbo I’ve gotten anywhere this side of the Sabine. The beignet fries are more like “funnel cake” fries, but they are extremely good, especially with the chocolate sauce. The French fries are good as well. Unfortunately that is it. Everything else that we’ve had is so mediocre that you can literally pick anywhere else to go. The chicken strips for the kids seem like they’d be good, but they have been extremely over cooked every time we’ve gone and no one wants to chew on a chicken strip for 5minutes while consuming a glass of water. But as previously stated, if you want gumbo this is the place to go, hands down.
