I got a burrito here and was happy with it since it was big affordable and exactly what I was hoping for. The service was good there was plenty of seating and it is connected to a dessert shop which is a nice bonus.

Very fast service, the girl at the register was super nice, and the tacos were fantastic. Everything was so fresh and authentic, the vibes were cozy, and the whole place was really clean and quiet. Less than $3/taco was such a good deal too.

Caldo 7 Mares was no good. They put imitation crab meat when it’s pictured with real crab legs. They burnt the telera bread I ordered for the caldo horribly, one side was so black I couldn’t even pick around it. I had to send it back. Tacos are mediocre and small. Spent a good $36 and threw most of it away.

We were in the area (Old Town Scottsdale) and wanted Mexican Food. We decided on El Original Tacos Jalisco. Unfortunately, it wasn’t really what we were looking for but ate here regardless. I had the Carne Asada Taco. It came with a lot of meat and the meat was a bit hard. So, not the best I’ve ever had. I didn’t like the red sauce that it was topped with but I did enjoy the salsa verde or geen salsa. I did enjoy the carnitas. My grandson didn’t like the taste of the meat so I ended up eating it.

Legit Mexican taqueria. Not some gringo joint… Food is fresh. Made to order very tasty and the staff is wonderfully helpful. I got this on a recommendation from the maintenance guy at the embassy Suites on Scottsdale and he was right! I’m a gringo that’s been eating Mexican food for 60 years. Discovered this place when I use to work in Scottsdale, AZ. Located in a Hispanic area on 68th & Thomas, this place can be hit and miss depending on the item(s) ordered. Over time, I’ve learned what to order and what not to order.
Today… I wanted a bowl of Muendo but it is only served on Sat & Sun… that’s one of my pet peeves! So… I thought I’d try the Huevos Rancheros de Todo and 2 Tacos de Cabeza. The Huevos Rancheros had no corn tortilla under the fried eggs over easy… and had no specially made sauce. Fried eggs had a lot of lace and the sauce looked liked pico de gallo that was fried on the grill before before placing it on the eggs. Rice was the worst I’ve had… refried beans were good. Sliced lettuce & diced tomatoes were a nice touch. Flour or corn tortillas are served on the side. The Tacos de Cabeza didn’t look like much but turned out to be a huge surprise! They contained the most meat I’ve ever had in this type of taco… and it was delicious!
In summation, I’ll go again but just won’t order the Huevos Rancheros…

It’s a small restaurant with plenty of seating. Lots of menu items to choose from. They have Gorditas, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, fish, soup, rice/beans and lots of meats. I have to be honest and say I wasn’t impressed with the service. Could be that we arrived at around 845 and they closed at 9 but we didn’t feel welcomed. The girl that took our order appeared to be annoyed we wanted to order. When we ordered the tacos plate we asked what comes in tacos. When she answered the first time with her head down and we couldn’t hear hear and asked her again she held held head down and rolled her eyes looking at us and answered again. The service barely got 3/5.
We ordered tacos plate and the Gordita and taco combo. The carne asada was very tasty and well seasoned. That gets a 5/5. I personally would not call a gordita what they refer to as a Gordita. Gorditas are stuffed with meat inside and held together in one piece like a pocket. They serve you two thick corn fried tortillas which were very delicious btw, with meat mixed with beans that sit on the bottom. To be honest I was very confused. Am I supposed to eat it like a taco or tostada? Either way, it’s not a Gordita but that tortilla gets a 5/5. The al pastor was 2/5. The seasoning was okay but not impressed because the meat was too soupy for me and the overload of beans mixed with the meat, in my opinion is not necessary. Rice and beans was good 4/5. The avocado salsa tasted good 4/5.
What’s interesting is that they have a salsa bar but you are limited to just 2. They have a sign that says anything over 2 sauces you have to pay $1.25 and that’s for the little bitty sauce. This is the first time I’ve ever seen a Mexican restaurant with an open bar do this. In my opinion this is tacky and ridiculous. I understand they cost money but if this is the case, they’re best just personally handing he salsas at the counter.
Overall, I would recommend because they have good food but I’m not sure if personally go back due to not feeling welcome and the charging of the salsas.

The 2 combination plates we got were the perfect amount of food for 3 people. I forgot what number plates we got on the menu but we got the 4 flautas one and the make your own taco one with al pastor meat. I thoroughly enjoyed both but I think I liked the taco one better. They had a bar with salsas and jalapeños. I also enjoyed all the sides on the plates. Also, this restaurant was SPOTLESS. It really seems like they take a lot of pride in both their food and their environment.

I ordered the sope and taco, honestly I’m confused. Last time I ordered the sope they prepared it for me but this time they just put everything on the plate for me to do. Which isn’t a big deal just confused why it’s different this time.
imo this place is too expensive for the quality. My coworkers love it so I don’t have a choice sometimes to come here
Only place I have come across that tries (sign above hot sauce bar) to charge for more than 1-2 little cups of salsa.
