Irenes Café is our go to spot for brunch any day of the week! Food is all home recipes and you can taste it!
Today we tried all the Mardi Gras specials and each was phenomenal. Personal favorite was the Jambalaya with chicken, sausage, and shrimp dinner with gumbo and bread pudding. I have tasted bread pudding so good!

Irene’s Cafe has the best food. Today they started their Mardi Gras menu and one word, Delicious. We ordered all of the items to try. The Jambalaya with Chicken and Sausage and Shrimp has a sweet tomato flavor. The Chicken & Sausage Gumbo with steamed rice has the perfect amount of spice. The Red Beans and Rice with Ham and Smoked Sausage has the perfect amount of smoke and spice. The Bread Pudding with Bourbon is a perfect way to cap off any of the meals.

Great place for fresh breakfast or lunch. I had the special of the day sausage, mushroom, cheese avocado omelette w/ country potatoes! Large portion, filling and delicious. My daughter had the Bahamas sandwich w/ potatoes salad and she loved it. The owner was on hand as usual visiting tables and chatting with customers. Our server was a sweetheart, can’t remember her name.

The atmosphere is good. Music at a good volume. The staff is friendly and prompt. The food though, is mid. A bit bland. Not terrible. Just didn’t wow. Comfortable setting and I would recommend overall because of the friendly staff. Pass on the biscuits and gravy. Good coffee.

I love Irene’s! The staff is always friendly and attentive, even when super busy. The atmosphere is comfortable and casual, it’s a great place to dine alone or with friends. The patio is perfect for people watching while enjoying the best Mimosas in Fresno. The portions are huge and the food is delicious! I love that the owners are there working and supporting their team. Supporting local businesses has never been more important, and this business is worth supporting!

The food here is absolutely scrumptious and the service is without a doubt some of the best I’ve had in a very long time, not only is there a beautiful view of tower from the inside, you can also choose to sit outside and enjoy the festivities that happen throughout the area. The staff are amazing and very polite, I’ve been here twice already in the same week! I will 100% be coming back again.
