Ordered a Chicken Quesadilla combo (which comes with rice & beans) & a Carne Asada Taco. The rice & beans were a 10/10, and the taco/steak was also very good. I will say I personally found the chicken quesadilla to be a little flavorless unless you used sour cream, which thankfully I ordered, so without the sour cream I wouldn’t recommend that particular item, but with the sour cream it was an 8 or 9/10!

A lot of people are leaving reviews saying the service was bad. That was not the case for us, the staff was very nice and accommodating. I also liked that they cooked everything fresh to order, you could even see the chef/cook making everything while you waited.

Finally, the inside of the restaurant was very clean too. I would come back!!

You want delicious tacos to satisfy that craving? Then get yourself over here quick. The place ain’t fancy and you might wait a while for your order, but it will be worth it. Whatever taco you order it will be delicious. And their selection of salsas are very spicy but really take the taco experience to the next level.

I have noticed their prices have gone up and so these tacos are not going to be super cheap but they are still affordable and best of all….delicious. So check it out.

I came here with the taste for tacos and being open.

The service was not too long. Maybe a 15 minute wait.
I am a huge fan of Pupusa and Tacos, but let me tell you, the food is very very bland. There is not much if any seasoning on the food. I had to drench it in sauce because the tacos and pupusas were flavorless.
I am not someone who doesn’t give it a chance but I gave it a chance and would not recommend it again.

The tacos I ordered were Chicken and Shredded Beef which comes on corn tortilla. The tacos cole bland, you have to add the onions, cilantro, radish or anything else on it from the stand. The dressings were okay but not seasoned as well.

Sorry I don’t have pictures of the food.

Trying to find Mexcian food that is similar to the southwest has been difficult, but we’ve finally found our spot!!!!
My husband devoured his carne asada burrito before I could take a picture. The al pastor in my quesadilla was on point! And you always know a restaurant is great when the simple beans and rice taste homemade. This place is an absolute win, and we can’t wait to come back to try other items on the menu!

This is a true whole in the wall.

It’s on a little strip dedicated to worldly food grocery stores (and easy to miss so keep your eye out)

I felt like I walked in to a family’s cookout which was a good thing! (Meaning it doesn’t feel gentrified). I took a quick look at the menu but it doesn’t have prices. I advised the waiter I wanted 4 tacos; 2 carne asada and 2 pastor however I like my pastors to be fatty so she let the cook know.

I waited maybe six minutes before my food was fresh out the window. I loved how they served everything on paper plates (gave me a home-like feeling). They have all the sides you need off to the side for you to dress up your entree how you like.

I sat down and listened to telémundo in the background and devoured my tacos and pineapple agua fresca. I spent $14!

As a Southern CA native, I spent my early years in the WMA searching in vain for a solid taco shop. Luckily I stumbled over Costalilla, and now it’s a regular stop for me. Depending on the crew working they’ll sometimes make carne asada fries (off-menu), which guarantees my returning and suggesting to friends.

The Flautas Platter consists of 3 rolled corn tortillas filled with chicken breast and cooked, or rather overcooked, so that both ends of the chicken are crunchy and dark brown or burned, while the chicken in the center is white and moist. The flautas were evidently unseasoned, as they were flavorless. So it’s just tortillas filled with small rolls of plain unseasoned chicken and overcooked. The thin, watery sauce provided with the meal added some moisture but very little flavor. The whole mess was presented under a thick camouflage of lettuce so you can’t see that it is burned. To add salt, you have to open up the flautas, which defeats the purpose of ordering food already made. Might as well just cook at home and season to taste! (and you could follow a recipe, that is, add onions and peppers and spices, which will make the plain chicken taste much better!) The beans and rice were better but nothing special. My companion reports that the burrito was large and tastes ok. Aside from dismal food, my complaint is that prices posted on the menu are not correct, which fact is noted on the front of the menu. I guess you find out how much your food costs when you are handed the receipt. That’s how I found out. Wait staff are friendly and explain that prices will be posted when the owner deigns to do so. Good on me for trying something different in the neighborhood, but we won’t be back for overcooked, overpriced food with no flavor whatsoever.

This is how Mexican food is supposed to taste! Not easy finding authentic Mexican food in the DMV. For those of us who have had the pleasure of growing up with Mexican food from the southwest (California and Arizona, not Texas) you’ll love it here!!

The biggest reason this doesn’t get 4 stars for me is the quality of the meat. It’s just not that tasty. Tastes kind of cheap. The corn tortillas are excellent, toppings good, hot sauces ok. One of the best things here is their fresh juice, try the pineapple.

I’m not really impressed as I heard about it too much and had much higher expectations!! It’s ok!
Still my favorite is La Jarochita in Manassas!

When it comes to Authentic Ethnic Eats , I can let it go with unfriendly service, and not speaking English but only if your food is really exceptional !

The menu is easy , clear and English! Which is good!
They kept calling my order in Spanish and I didn’t know it’s for me ! It took us long time to figure it out! LOL

I liked the food very much by the way! But the Carne Asada was a little hard and not easy to chew!

Nice toppings on the bar but doesn’t include Pica de gallo like La Jarochita in Manassas and also wasn’t really fresh!

I wanted to try their version of the Flan but it wasn’t available! Disappointing!

They have a huge selection of Mexican soda products! Next time I’ll try the non alcoholic Sangaria!!

I’ll go again if I’m in the area! But I don’t think I’ll ever drive especially for them again!

Finally I’d say, Go try it and pray for me! Lol yeah people!! It’s still 4 stars out of 5!! 😉
