I’ve been here a handful of times, with friends, and have always had a five star experience coming to this establishment.

The service and food are excellent!!!!!

The staff are always welcoming, friendly, and have quick efficient service.

The food is always fast, hot and freshly made just for you.

I normally don’t like leaving negative reviews, especially because I understand how stressful and fast-paced food service can be, but this experience honestly left me frustrated enough to speak up.

I came in expecting a simple order and an even simpler request: extra guacamole sauce. That’s it. I wasn’t asking for anything complicated, custom, or unreasonable. I was very clear about what I wanted, and I was more than willing to pay extra for it. This wasn’t about trying to get something for free—it was literally just about getting extra sauce with my food.

The restaurant was busy, which I completely understand. I’ve worked customer service before, so I know how overwhelming rushes can get. That said, being busy should not automatically mean that basic requests are ignored or that customers are treated rudely. Being busy explains stress—it doesn’t excuse attitude.

When I asked about the extra guacamole sauce, the response I got from the lady helping me came off as dismissive and borderline rude. There was no attempt to clarify, no explanation, no “we’re out,” no “it’ll be extra,” nothing. It felt like my request was brushed off entirely, as if asking for extra sauce was some huge inconvenience rather than a normal add-on people ask for all the time.

What made it more frustrating is that I checked my order afterward and realized the extra sauce wasn’t included at all. So not only was the interaction unpleasant, but the order itself was wrong. Again, I want to emphasize: I was willing to pay. All I wanted was extra guacamole sauce. If there was an issue—price, availability, timing—it could have easily been communicated.

Good customer service isn’t about being overly friendly or fake smiling; it’s about basic respect and communication. A simple explanation or acknowledgment would have gone a long way. Instead, I left feeling like my business didn’t matter and that asking for a very normal request was somehow a problem.

I hope management sees this and understands that customers are usually pretty forgiving when places are busy—but only when effort and respect are still shown. Food quality aside, service matters, and small things like extra sauce (especially when the customer is willing to pay for it) shouldn’t turn into such a negative experience.

I’d really like to give this place another chance, but I genuinely hope the staff is reminded that being busy doesn’t justify being rude or ignoring customers’ requests. All I wanted was extra guacamole sauce—and I left disappointed.

AT THE END OF THE DAY STILL BEST TACOS IN EP. I love you Lebron Raymone James.

I recently tried Tacos El Charly and was really impressed. I went for the lunch special, which was $7.99 and included four tacos (I had pastor and buche), a drink, and a baked potato.
The tacos were flavorful, with the pastor being well-seasoned and the buche nice and tender. The baked potato was a good side and complemented the meal nicely.
Overall, the food was delicious, the price was great, and the wait was definitely worth it. I’ll be back for sure! Highly recommend it.

UPDATE 11/20/24.
SEEMS THIS BUSINESS CLOSED PERMANENTLY. THE BUILDING HAS SIGNS AS “AVAILABLE” OR “FOR LEASE”. I HAVENT SEEN ANY ACTIVITY FOR ABOUT A MONTH NOW.

First time trying out this place. I am a relatively new horizon resident(1 1/2yrs) and we’ve been looking into local options for restaurants. I came to this place because of the good reviews. My rating would be 3 1/2 stars but since I cant do that I selected 3 stars

Now that I have tried it I can say it is good, not perfect but with potential to be better. Good enough to return and give it another try.
I had tacos de asada and my wife had tacos de Buche, my kids had 2 tacos with baked potato. All plates were described to include cebollitas but they werent served to us. When I asked, server indicated that they are included but they dont serve them because they dont want to waste food so they dont serve them unless we ask for them. Nothing wrong with not wasting food however it’s a lack of communication from the waitress to the customer. The server should have asked the customer instead of assuming the customer knew.

Also your tacos will come with very limited fixings.. what you see on my picture is what you get… they do not have a “fixing station” for you to add to your tacos chopped onion, chopped jalapeño, pico de gallo, guacamole or guacamole sause.. they do not have any red salsa for the tacos(some tacos go better with red Chile salsa than green chile). Only thing you have on your table to season is salt and pepper and that’s it. The plate of 6 tacos came only with half a lemon which you have to make sure it lasts for all of them(are they rationed or what?) and the cilantro on the plate was literally one leaf for each taco (in their pictures of the product they represent the plate way different)
If you wanted Guacamole on your taco then you needed to buy an avocado(on the menu) for $1.49 and I guess make the guacamole yourself. This would put your 6 taco plate at 10 dollars.

The place was relatively clean and my wife says the bathroom was surprisingly very clean. Cleaner than other places we’ve visited.

The tripitas were very tasty. The tacos al pastor were a little on the dry side but still good. The service by the elder lady was excellent.

I love this place I have been going there since they were at that small place on darrington, they are local owners and very friendly. The food is the best tacos I’ve had I don’t go anywhere else anymore, i don’t crave tacos I crave Charly’s. The barbacoa is the best that’s why it always run out early. The menudo is the best in the area to be honest, and they support other local owners like the panaderia that’s why the bread with butter is so good. The place says available but they are still running and there’s construction going on but you can still get there. I don’t mind all that for the best tacos in 50 miles.

Sucks that they dont give the little onion like they use to. Tacos are still go through. Service is a little slow. Just make sure if you go on the weekend, plan on waiting a bit. They definitely need a bigger place.

Well, at $3/mini taco, I just had a taste of inflation. At least it was delicious. Friendly staff, and very casual dining. I’m not saying it’s not authentic, but I’ve had better al pastor in Las Vegas
