The food is delicious. Im not from Slidell so im used to a little different style of Mexican. However I hear that Olde Towne <(no sure if I spelled that correctly) but this is supposedly a great time after dark. Tried it today and the day vibe was awesome outside on the patio! The Queso is awesome, its flavored differently and spicier. Some places have melted store bought queso and you can tell. This one hit different. I thought the steak on my street tacos was plain no seasoning but everything else was great. Amazing fish taco. The staff is very friendly and the service was great, slow for a little but understand a lunch rush I get it. The inside of the building is not large so I can imagine that at night it might be crowded. Alot of great things to say about this place, cant give 5 stars bc it seems a bit cramped and I haven't been to the night atmosphere. I'll check it out one day and re-rate my contribution!

I think they’re overrated. It just didn’t live up to the hype. Service was wonderful and presentation was great but taste was less than. None of the items we ordered were seasoned well. The tacos didn’t have any taste. The wings were good not great. Although they were fried perfectly and were not dried out like most places, they didn’t have any flavor. They were bland. If it wasn’t for the sauce we ordered they wouldn’t have had any taste. It was like eating air. The atmosphere was nice as it always is but I wasn’t impressed with the food. I’ve been to food trucks that delivered better than here.

We enjoyed this place. First off they have Red Cream soda. I had the birria tacos and they were delicious. I will certainly go back if and when we come back to the New Orleans area. The service was good and fast once they took our order. It was a busy night and I didn’t feel neglected

My family and I visited during Christmas time on a recommendation from a friend. It was Taco Tuesday and we were pleased. The brisket was dry but all the other tacos were delicious. We also had ground beef, tongue and mild chicken (there is a spicy version).
The taco salad was good, too.
We were hungry- so forgot to take pictures of the food.
Margarita and sweet tea were okay.

Definitely need more staff up front to keep things flowing. Staff paying attention to customers as they walk in is a must. We sat for 10 minutes at the bar before being acknowledged but the food was decent.

Stopped into Tacos & Beer in Olde Towne Slidell for an early dinner. The place was about 75% full, but they had plenty of staff, and the service was quick. I sat at the bar and ordered the beef Tacos Dorados—three fried beef tacos—and a side of beans. The food was really good. The tacos reminded me of my favorites back in Sacramento, which is saying something. I’ll definitely be back.
Shoutout to Jolie—she greeted everyone who came in, made sure they knew where to sit, and was super friendly with every customer. I’m not sure if she’s the manager, but she definitely acted like one—in the best way. Positive energy all around.

Ive spent alot of time in Mexico eating tacos. This place has the best tacos ive had in the states by far. Also havent been able to find real suadero tacos in the states but this place has them! Be somebody, go eat tacos here!

My new favorite place to eat in Slidell. Excellent service. Extra fresh, extra crisp tortilla chips. The house salsa is one of the best I’ve tasted. I don’t know if it’s made in house or not, but perfectly balanced and perfectly spiced. The house margarita was good too, not too syrupy. Great decor, I regret not getting more pictures, very cute hand painted unique murals. Great place to take kids, very family friendly. Fairly priced kids menu with a decent selection and decent kid friendly food.
