I don’t what’s happened to Taco Time in general, but the quality of their food has been continually declining. The meat has the texture of mush, and tastes like filler and salt. Not sure how you can make Mexican American food so tasteless. It seems as though the chain is more concerned with touting their ridiculously impossible “carbon neutral” BS, and recyclable utensils, than they are with making edible food.

It used to be the best place around for quick, fresh food. But the process keep me away. They’ve tripled their costs (even before all the prices going up) and it’s just too much to eat here. 30 bucks for 2 people when I can go to Taxi Bell and get food for 6 for the same cost. ♀️

Lake Steven’s Taco time food was horrible. We got beef and chicken soft tacos. The shells were NOT soft, hard spots all over. Dried out beef that was very scarce, mostly lettuce and hardly any sauce at all and it all just tasted off.

Unfortunately, my crisp beef burrito wasn’t crisp and my beans were a bit dry. I was disappointed. Also, with the dining room closed, it took forever to get through the line.

#2. Second review here stopped in before heading to the freeway ordered crisp beef burrito meal the wait was long after ordering in the drive thru got my food to open the bag to cold soggy tater tots/Mexican fries and a not so crisp cold in the middle crisp beef burrito it was not good or fresh.

Drive through gal was sweet. But my burrito was pretty cold. The tortilla it was wrapped in was cold as well. I understand I went around 9pm so not everything is probably the freshest. But as a pregnant lady who had a big time craving for one of my most favorite nostalgic meals I was pretty disappointed. Idk it looks like there have been a few reviews about the food temperatures not being warm enough. It may be worth just giving the kitchen a walk through with upper management to make sure all of the equipment is on the correct temperature settings. My burrito deserves two stars but the tater tots somewhat made up for it so I’m just giving three stars for that.
