Came here on a date and they’re a completely gluten free kitchen which was awesome! The food was pretty good, I got the disco fries which were yummy as well as calamari to start. Got a chicken tinga taco which was great. The birria taco wasn’t as good in my opinion. For dessert got the chocolate lava cake and ice cream which was delicious ! Service was a little slow but overall a great spot. They also had a special three course meal offering for Valentine’s Day I think. Looked good. Nice clean restroom for use as well.

This was my first time trying Taco Dia and I have to say, the flavors were amazing. I wish I took better pictures because everything was delicious. We ordered the Chipotle Honey Chicken tacos, the Pork al Pastor tacos, guacamole with chips, and churros for dessert.
The Chipotle Honey Chicken tacos were out of this world — sweet, spicy, and packed with flavor. They really bring the heat in the best way possible. Absolutely a 10/10. The Pork al Pastor tacos were equally impressive, super flavorful and cooked perfectly.
The guacamole was fresh, super bright, and the chips that came with it were so good. And the churros??? Woooo.. Perfectly cooked and crispy. Major compliments to the chef!!!
The staff was friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back again very soon!

The settings was fine for pickup and looked nice but the food was not great. The guacamole, churros and ice cream for dessert was bland. The tacos were not that tasteful and the quesadilla was mostly beans. I also bit into a piece of plastic from the Birria tacos that made me lose my appetite as shown in the pic.

Love this place! The food is very delicious and there are so many options. I have celiac and their food menu is 100% gluten free! I got the birria crunch wrap as takeout and it was amazing. Staff is very friendly as well.

We’ve been here five times now, and it’s consistently excellent! The tacos are the real deal — filled generously with the main protein, not just overloaded with slaw like some other places. Every dish we’ve tried has been fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. We loved the Mexican pizza, guacamole and fresh tortilla chips too.
The drinks are impressive — creative and delicious. They also have classic cocktails and a good beer selection. The waitstaff is warm and welcoming, which adds to the experience.
It’s tucked away in quiet Newtown, but honestly, if this place were in New Haven or Fairfield, the line would be out the door. A true hidden gem worth seeking out!

Warm atmosphere and very good Mexican food made with care and attention. The chips were warm (and thick… so it depends on your taste whether you like that). The salsa is tasty and fresh (it’s sweet) and the guac pretty good too. The waiter was very nice and the place was packed but not over-crowded. It’s a fun change of pace and the weekly specials are a nice touch for variety.

Cozy atmosphere. The service was prompt and friendly. The drinks were good and good enough for a second round!
The tacos were delicious and so good in fact that we ordered more. Try the mahi mahi tacos, they are so far beyond scrumptious.

Comfortable atmosphere and friendly service, with a full gluten free and delicious menu!! They are also peanut-free and accommodating of other allergies like dairy. We had a variety of tacos, wings and the fried chicken, calamari, and the churros and bread pudding. Everything was safe for gluten allergies and most could be modified for dairy allergies. Very excited to come back and try more. The Chef Owner is incredibly kind and friendly; he greets patrons and holds conversations. He really cares about the gluten free concept!

What an amazing experience! Thank you to Pete our server great customer service & thank you to chef Esdras for our amazing dishes. Now to the food with the blend of flavors out of this world!! I was so impressed with the amazing touch of ginger added to the dishes we had chose it really added that special kick, the tuna tartare tostada was my absolute favorite (appetizers) along with the birria tacos! Yummy!!! Can’t wait to come back and try brunch hour.
