We’ve been going there for years. They have the best pizza in ocean township and the surrounding area. The Sicilian is untouchable by any other pizzeria. The subs are fantastic and always stuffed. The owners are great too. The memorabilia on the walls are incredible to look at when sitting down for a slice or waiting for your order.

Best cheese pizza slice you will ever have. Have been going for over 25 years and never disappoints. Cheese so hot it melts with the sauce into a liquid ooze of goodness.
Always clean and neat inside. Same people working behind the counter since I first started going. And I am not sure what they do to their fountain soda, but it is amazing!

The pizza was great! The crust was crispy and firm, but not too hard or crunchy. The cheese had just the right amount of flavor, and it melted perfectly into the crust. The service was friendly and welcoming.

Was here for break and was amazed at how crispy their Sicilian slice was, sauce was robust with lots of flavor and they even had in the oven just long enough to were my pizza was extraaa cheesy! A must go!

December 6, 2024, is when I am writing this review but I have been going to Rizzo’s for decades. The pizza is good, and if the tall guy is cooking then the pizza is excellent for MY tastes. By excellent, I mean the crust is relatively thin, airy, and stiff, so I can eat without the slice flopping over. I no longer work in the area so I don’t get here as often as I used to. I stopped by in November, 2024, got my two slices plain, and decided I should finally write a review.
I always eat in because I don’t live nearby. The shop itself is functional and clean. The atmosphere is adequate for eating in, and one wall includes a mug shot of Frank Sinatra from when he was arrested many years ago. I assume most of their business is takeout because I know a lot of people who get their pizza at home.
In any case, I highly recommend Rizzo’s Pizza, and I suggest that you eat in so the pizza is piping hot when you are stuffing your face!

I went in to buy two slices. Saw menu on board said 2.79 a slice. Was told $6 for two. (I figured rounded up per tax). Then used my credit card to pay. It wasn’t until later I looked at my receipt and I was charged $7. Then I thought about sales tax. Did the math and it should have been less than $6 (2.79 x2 plus tax). What’s with the $1 extra charge?!!!? Most places charge a fee for credit cards yes but it’s like 3%. Not a whole dollar. Rip off and pretty sure illegal to do since I looked at Amex’s policies. You can charge a fee but that was way over the fee.

Best Sicilian pizza I’ve ever had. Used to frequent the Seaview Square Mall location when I was a kid before moving to Oklahoma. Wish I could find pizza as great as this here.

I’ve been eating at Rizzo’s since I moved to Ocean Township in the late 90’s. For 28 years, when I walk in, I always see the same familiar faces and get the same awesome food. I live 300 miles away now, but whenever I am back in NJ, I can’t wait for my first taste of home! They very kindly let me taste their fresh out of the oven bread tonight and I it was to die for. Thanks Rizzos … I’ll see you at Christmas 🙂
