Second favorite breakfast drive-in in NewB. Food is tasty, not expensive, pretty fast. Nothing is over the top “best in class” but always reliable and good for a change up in the usual fried chicken breakfast that I get. Only down-side is all the road/highway noise when ordering. Surprised after all these years they haven’t put some sort of greenery or wood screen on the other side to absorb some of the sound. Oh well, that’s an investment. Anyway, my go to is either a bacon, egg, cheese breakfast taco or chorizo, egg & cheese. Both I recommend as an occasional grab.

Fast cheap and usually good taste. Last couple visits not so great. I ordered tacos and my egg and potato was a potato taco with dry, overcooked potatoes. Egg who wants that? Last two times, not very friendly. Started off no ice in fountain machine the soda I went to get was out and had to get something else. Then the taco. Will not be returning. Place looks old and ran down and employees seem to have no care in the world.

Old and rundown. The floors were sticky. The tables had crumbs on them. I was the only customer in the dining room. The food was just average and the manager was busy complaining to her staff about waisting her time and not helping customers. They need to start over.

I went to pickup my order and pickup was fairly easy, but since I got such a big order I checked when I got back to my job and we were missing 1 out of 2 bags of chips. So he gave me the worst attitude and said “I know for sure I put both bags in there” and pulls out 3 bags to give us, and says “when you get back you’ll find the other bag of chips”
Moral of the story there was only 1 bag of chips and why is a worker being so nasty to a customer. It was an older gentleman but he should be fired for talking to customers like that. So simple to give me another bag of chips but instead made it such a big deal out of it.
Corporate should be looking at who they are hiring because it’s very easy to fix the issue IF ITS A BAG OF CHIPS

I visit this taco cabana almost every morning for breakfast. My wife and I get lunch or dinner sometimes. I’ve eaten at a few in san antonio, but this one is always very consistent, Food and service wise. Olivia and Daniel at the drive through window, always take care of me and make sure I have everything I need before I go. Thank you guys!

I needed to pick up three boxes of tacos because Morningside Elementary was short of food donations for the children’s Christmas party.
I went to New Braunfels first. No one acknowledged me at the counter for about eight minutes, so I just left.
Next I drove all of the way to Schertz to find a line inside of about twenty people. No one acknowledged any of us standing at the counter. After about 10 minutes of waiting I just placed an online order. Giving up my military discount of course. After $68.17 and about another 20 minutes I finally got my order. When I got to the school I discovered that two of the tacos had ripped open foil, so they had to be thrown away. We can’t serve open containers to the kids. The salsa was also wrong. It was supposed to be the ranch salsa. Total it took me 1 1/2 hours to get back to school. The party was over 1 hour later
The party was two hours long. I missed half of it. This was the worst experience that we have ever had at a food establishment. We will no longer be purchasing anything from Taco Cabana again. Thank you very much for your time.
Merry Christmas and happy new year

The husband and I wanted something different for the lunch break today as we already tried everything else in the surrounding area. He ordered a ground beef burrito meal deal, which included the burrito, chips and queso, and a medium drink all for only $9.99. First impressions are, what a deal cause all this for only $10 is great. Now the menu stated ground beef, but my husband found himself eating chicken fajita which he said he he’s not complaining, just was looking forward to the ground beef, but he didn’t want to bother the employees for a remake. Over all great value, and service for a quick lunch break.

Taco cabana is a nostalgia stop for me every time I’m in Texas. I stopped at this location on my way to San Antonio, and I just wanted to shout out the service. I always ask for a cheese quesadilla and then ask them to add ground beef because that was my favorite as a kid. Because this isn’t a standard menu item, I’ve sometimes had employees argue with me that it’s not possible. But not only did they make it, but their manager Marcy was so nice complimenting me on the addition, which was something she hadn’t seen despite working there for years. I really appreciate the service of this team during my annual stop to relive my childhood.

Went in to pick up an order a dozen bean and cheese tacos and it took over 45 minutes for them to get my order out not good. Customer service did not attend me and completely. Ignore me until the next shift to walk in there on the other hand, then incoming shift were completely opposite. They were courteous nice but the early morning shift did not meet up to standards on what they should be given customers.

Lunch af 2:30 PM in a quiet empty dining room with one unbussed table, cheery holiday Muzak, and two delicious brisket melt tacos. I can’t give five stars to the food because each taco included a hard dry chunk of beef. On the whole, the tacos were quite satisfying, but whoever assembled the tacos should have set aside the offending nuggets of jerky. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things.
