The place itself is beautiful, spacious, and well-designed, making it a fantastic spot for both casual outings and special occasions. Service was not only friendly but also efficient, even with the crowd. The oysters were a real highlight — fresh, flavorful, and easily some of the best I’ve had. Altogether, it’s an outstanding spot right by the ballpark, perfect for sports fans and food lovers alike.
Our server forgot to bring our entrée and even my Diet Pepsi, and the restaurant was not busy at the time. What made the situation more frustrating was the feeling that our table simply was not a priority. Throughout the evening, the server appeared much more attentive to his other two tables while ours was repeatedly overlooked.
I normally believe in rewarding good service and typically leave a 20–35% tip. Despite the experience, I still chose to leave a 15% tip out of kindness, although the level of service honestly did not reflect that.
Celebrating a milestone like a 21st birthday should feel welcoming and special, and unfortunately the service made the evening uncomfortable rather than enjoyable. I hope management takes feedback like this seriously, as attentive and consistent service is essential to creating a positive dining experience.
Because of this experience, I would not return.
Highly recommend the Pimento Cheese was great (5/5), it’s covered in honey and was served with a ton of chips.
I ordered the Tavern Burger (1/5) and it was just two frozen patty’s that lacked any real flavor. For a $20 burger I would expect more, it also had these super tart pickles on it that completely took over the burger flavor.
Also the Avocado Tartine should have been called the ricotta Tartine, it was 90% cheese with barely any avocado. It looked nice but was basically just cheese on a piece of bread.
I def recommend the bloody Mary tho, it was spicy and really good. We probably ordered the wrong things as others have written great reviews for food, we just didn’t love what we got.
Service is a little slow, but still an enjoyable atmosphere and time
The steak was not good. Lacked flavor unless you count the charred outside.
The tavern burger was average. The bun fell apart after the first bite or so.
The Brussel sprouts were okay. The seasoning was good. But it was cooked for too long
Food was okay, but in my opinion not worth the price.
I liked the payment system. You can pay through your phone and don’t have to wait for the check.
The fries were really delicious, and that’s saying something for fries! The half chicken had a different presentation than I expected but it was so tender and seasoned. I loved the oysters and wish I’d gotten more!
The place is beautiful and it was nice to hear the cheers from the stadium across the street while watching the game on their screens. It was a great atmosphere and I’d probably go back again on a non game night so I don’t have to walk 10 minutes to get an Uber.
