In 1967, we opened our doors in Abilene, TX to share fresh, authentic Mexican food. Now, almost 52 years later, while the other guys have turned to packaged and processed foods, we’ve stayed true to our roots by crafting authentic recipes in each of our kitchens. We do things the Bueno way, and you’re sure to taste the difference.

Friendly people, good food, and clean restaurant. If you want some authentic Mexican experience this isn’t it. If you are looking for some tasty fresh Americanized Mexican food this place is for you. The portions better than average. The beans and corn were both great. The enchiladas and taco are both basic but if you take advantage of the salsa bar then you can customize them.

Always stop here on the way to Tulsa. Out of all the Taco Buenos we’ve been this one is definitely the best. They also do a Veteran discount which I’m always extremely grateful for anytime a business does that. You won’t be disappointed if you are a fan of Taco Bueno

The food was good but they didn’t give me the right salsa, and they didn’t roll the burritos very well. But the food tasted great.

The interior and exterior of this newer location is clean and well staffed. The men’s room had a sign on the door stating that the lock was broken and it instructed to knock before entering. The lock was missing all together. A simple, quick trip to a local hardware store for a standard replacement deadbolt would have solved the problem. The newly advertised Texas Street Tacos and Tamales were both good, but pricey for the amount of food received. The street tacos are small, but the tamale was a normal sized one. Two tacos, one tamale and a medium drink ran $8.00. the food was hot, fresh and tasted great. The staff was friendly and quick. If they lowered the price slightly and take care of simple maintenance, the rating would be a 5 star.

Very Horrible rude service.. Messed up our order 2 times and wanted to try to blame us it wasn’t ordered correctly.. even showed correctly on receipt.. How do u overlook a taco salad and then try to say we got it when it was dine in.. Like we were hiding it in bourbon pocket.. shouldn’t have to argue to get the food we paid for.. JS

It was horrible. Beans tasted like they were a week old tortilla was stail. Also got potatoes burrito and the potatoes were hard as a rock almost broke my teeth.

I ordered a platter that has rice, beans, and an enchilada….all which need cutlery. I didn’t get that nor napkins. Pretty annoying because I don’t have a way to eat my food.

Almost brand new restaurant. Clean bathrooms. Nice staff although they were really really slow. It took over 11 minutes to get a burrito and a taco at. 6:00 pm on a Tuesday. When I pointed out how long it had taken, I got a very insincere “I’m sorry”. Step it up folks!!!!!
