We ordered a solid variety: a grilled burrito, a quesadilla, nachos loaded with guac, sour cream, cheese, tomatoes & onions, an old school fav Mexican pizza, churros, chips with queso & a Mountain Dew Baja Blast. Right away, you could tell the food was prepared well.
The burrito & quesadilla were grilled perfectly & crispy on the outside with a golden-brown toast, but still soft & packed with filling inside. The nachos were layered generously with toppings, so every chip had something on it. The guacamole was fresh & vibrant, the diced tomatoes & onions added a nice crunch & the cheese sauce & sour cream were evenly distributed.
The classic Mexican pizza had a crispy shell without being overly hard, layered with melted cheese & topped with diced tomatoes to give it that classic nostalgic Taco Bell flavor. It’s one of those menu items that reminds you why you keep coming back! The little churro sweet bites were warm & cinnamon-sugary with a nice crisp exterior.
Overall, this location delivered on freshness, flavor & portion size. Definitely one of the better Taco Bell experiences that I’ve recently had, so I’ll definitely be back!
The Buena Vista one is faster, sure, and the Lankershim one is open later. But their food is butts. The shredded cheese’ll be all dried and shriveled, nothing will be that warm, the sauce will be all in one pocket so you only get it in one bite.
Look, if the line is wrapped around to behind the speaker, you may not wanna get in it. And sure, I’ve seen a lady crash out and get out of her car to scream at the workers because it’s taking so long.
But I’m tellllliiiiiinnnngggg you, the food is good. It’s warm and fresh, they’re doing it right here.
Especially if there’s 4 cars or less, you’re good to go!!! Enjoy!
Got these bean n rice burritos. Why ? Shouldn’t be that tough ….
In general, this location is hit or miss.
Service at this location is SLOW. No matter what time of day, no matter how full the drive through is, and no matter how many staff members are in the back, there’s ALWAYS an unexpectedly long wait for food.
Staff doesn’t watch the front counter and even if there’s multiple take-out/pick-up orders waiting in their tray (behind the counter), staff doesn’t come out to give those out.
Food itself typically ranges from average to fine. I’ve had orders from this location that were fine and as expected, and I’ve had a few that were a disappointment.
Parking is a disaster and the drive through line blocks any cars in the lot in. Drive through fluctuates with how busy it is, but it’s usually busy enough that parking is difficult.
Also, there are frequently unhoused people on the sidewalk out front and near or in the parking lot area. One time (admittedly maybe 2 months ago) one of them had followed me to my car and was acting fairly hostile. So on top of it being slow and mediocre service, it doesn’t always feel entirely safe.
In my experience, this location has gotten more orders wrong than all other locations combined.
