Located on Jackson Square attached to the historic Le Petit Theatre; Tableau is in the heart of the French Quarter. Tableau showcases regional ingredients and classic Creole dishes revisited. Our chef team celebrates the historical components of Creole cuisine and builds dishes based on their authentic roots. With Creole cuisine blending flavors from many regions around the world including the Caribbean, France, Spain, Portugal, and the Ivory Coast, Tableau’s dishes reflect a wide variety of flavors and influences combined with a modern approach. Upon opening, Tableau was selected by the Times-Picayune “one of the Best New Restaurants in New Orleans.” Tableau offers a variety of dining ambiances.

We have eaten at Tableau several times. These are really nice people and we love the restaurant. The view from the gallery is superb and with the roof that has been added, is not bad even in the hot sun. It’s a great spot to have afternoon cocktails and watch the spectacle. Many people really like the food but for us it is okay. Not bad, just really not up to New Orleans better dining standard’s in my opinion.

Tableau is an exquisite place to visit. Located near the Cathedral, the building used to be part of the theater next door. It is a modern restaurant inside of an authentic French quater house. It has 3 floors, an amazing balcony view and an attentive staff. It was a nice experience dining there on my last night in New Orleans. The prices are reasonable and the food taste delicious.

Located in a historic building right off the square, Tableau is French-Creole all the way. A beautiful old building with indoor, balcony, and courtyard seating, you can celebrate any occasion here. Vanessa was a wonderful server, and for me, the Creole French Onion Soup was the star of my meal. We also enjoyed other appetizers and our entrees as well as a complimentary birthday Crème Brulee.

Everything was awesome, the food, the service and the view from the balcony. I got an outdoor reservation from OpenTable, but when we were seated, they gave us an option to sit at the balcony or the courtyard. The braised lamb dish was the surprise of the meal, it was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. The creme brulee was also excellent.

Really enjoyed this place. Meg, our server, was great. We had the Brown Butter Gnocchi appetizer, Tournedo Rossini, and the Gulf Fish Almondine. All were fantastic. Then the finale was the creme brullee. I have never seen done on a large wide plate. It was one of the best I have had.

My hanger steak meal was freezing cold. It didn’t taste good at all. The gnocchi was good. The fish almondine was just ok…. Gumbo garbage. SO DISAPPOINTED IN THE FOOD. THE SERVICE WAS GREAT. The view outside was great. I just won’t visit again. The food needs alot of work omggggg

Excellent gnocchi, pretty display. My friend loved his shrimp and grits. Nice breeze in the courtyard and visit by a gecko. Exactly the New Orleans kind of atmosphere you want for brunch. $70 for three of us. The waiter was new but said he had mgmt experience. Too talky for me and forgot one of our drinks.

Enjoyed a beautiful view of Jackson Square, Park from the balcony while eating their delightful take on eggs Benedict. The eggs were cooked to perfection, there was a delightful, savory meat, and a honey glaze that gave me the option to enjoy a savory bite or a sweet bite every time.
