Contemporary Indian eatery in warehouse-like digs dishing up tandoori classics & veggie mains.

During lunch time the buffet was offered and open. The different variety of food was amazing and I was able to sample and taste a lot. The cashier help me with a lot and offered me to try dessert and she actually walked to the buffet and explain all the different kinds that was there. I really enjoyed the mango mousse and the warm carrot dessert with nuts (it tasted more like sweet potatoes). The restaurant has a very calm vibe to it and very inviting at the same time. It does get busy during lunch time and you are able to seat your self. Definitely a must try!

We made a spur-of-the-moment decision to stop in and grab dinner and what a delightful experience it was! I love Indian food and my partner had never eaten it before, so I was a little nervous whether he would like it. We were greeted and taken care of throughout the entire meal by multiple friendly staff. We ordered the Vegetable Samosa, Lamb Vindaloo, Chicken Vindaloo, freshly baked Garlic Naan and Cheese Naan. It was absolutely wonderful! The portions were gracious, and we had plenty left over for another meal. The entire meal was around $55.00. We will definitely be back and will recommend it to family and friends! Oh, and I got a Mango Lassi to go…it was great!

Great food and authentic flavors!
Taaza Bistro serves delicious South Indian and Kerala-style food with authentic taste. The dosas are crispy, curries are flavorful, and everything tastes fresh. Friendly service, clean atmosphere, and perfect for family dining. Highly recommended for anyone craving real Indian food in Greensboro!

Just went for the weekend (Friday, Saturday, & Sunday) lunch buffet and was blown away by both price ($20) and quality of the food! Was some of the best curry I’ve ever had, and they walked around handing out fresh hot now buttery naan, not to mention the desserts like the rice pudding and mango moose! 5 stars without a doubt!

Elegant atmosphere but affordable prices for good-sized portions, very filling. The 3 of us had various chicken dishes: 555 Chicken (served as an appetizer but big enough for a meal with an order of butter Naan and ask for dipping sauces: yogurt, tamarin & mint), cilantro chicken with rice and vegetables, last but not least chicken fried rice Indian style. If you dislike cilantro, just ask them to keep it out. Loved the food, and the service was friendly, with several of them checking on us. They told us of their SUNDAY buffet for $20pp (2024). We will be back.

Tried their weekend buffet which was pretty decent. Lady at counter was interactive with every guest possible in asking their experience and areas for improvements. Potato bajji, spinach pakoda, tandoori chicken, pepper chicken, shrimp curry, boneless chicken biryani, couple of chicken curries which were good for $15 price. Taste could have been a bit better overall but overall good experience.

Rarely you come across a restaurant where people really go way beyond the expectations. This restaurant is one such. Food was great, spices were spot on especially for eggplant dish. They customized dishes and prepared things outside the menu. Excellent service and great food at an amazing price. And yeah, I’m an Indian and have eaten at Indian restaurants in many international locations. This is a great restaurant. Keep it up!

We had the spinach palak paneer, Manglorean shrimp appetizer, Chana masala, garlick naan, butter naan, and drinks. The main dishes came with a good portion of white rice. Great value for the price and the food was delicious. Admittedly, we ordered everything with mild spice, so the food was not spicy at all but still had lots of flavor. The watermelon and tamarind drinks were strong. We also had a little birthday cake ball and hot syrup desert at the end, which had great flavor and texture. I prefer my chickpeas a little softer, but other than that, the three of us were very satisfied with the meal and had food left to take home as well. The service was friendly, professional, and attentive. The restaurant wasn’t very full on a Friday night, but there were many people coming in for takeout.

10/01/2023 second visit: I am back in Greensboro this week so I decided to give Taaza a second look. Today I was treated like family. My experience couldn’t have been better. I was recognized by the hostess and she took great care of me. I asked for a recommendation and she suggested a lamb dish (my receipt called it a Punjabi Ghost, I call it delicious). Today was a 5 Star experience.
First visit: Another week away from home so I’ll drown my sorrows in chai. I had the samosa chat, as per my usual habit. Then the garlic chicken dish that is listed under the house specialties. Both were good to very good. The spice level was perfect.
My only complaint was partially self inflicted, when I arrived I was told to choose a table anywhere so I chose a booth, only to discover the table was dirty. I think they had bussed the dishes from the previous visitor but failed to wipe down the table.
Overall, I will give them another try. (By the way, side note, the house specials come with a side of lentils, they were excellent!)
