I love absolutely everything about this place, I’ve taken too many people here and made it a staple in all their life’s.
This place has the freshest sushi in Perth and got some really creative, fun and yummy sushi options. Best part is all the plates are priced the same, unlike other places where plate colors decide the price. The sushi is insanely good and also great great side dishes !
Ambiance is great, only thing is you cannot reserve or call to book as the restaurant does get busy , so you go there and wait your turn only if it’s busy, which isn’t much, 15-20 minutes maximum.
Service is great , prices are great, food is 10000/10

In the open kitchen, the staff preparing nigiri and rolls were wearing watches and bracelets while handling food. Their gloves were rolled down and not worn properly, and their watches were dangling and repeatedly touching the food and cutting boards.
This appeared highly unhygienic and showed a serious lack of basic food safety awareness. It was very concerning to witness.

Personally love all of the big rolls here. Their yaki soba tasted amazing too. I also tried their donburi lunch special (the triple ‘S’), and it became my favorite straightaway.
The service was great. All of the staffs were friendly & helpful. So far, The Sushi 2016 has been my most go-to place for sushi and Japanese noodle in Perth.

One of the best sushi joints to visit in my opinion. Service is good, quick and runs with a modern tablet ordering system. I think prices are pretty general for sushi in the region.
I go there for Nigiri and Octopus karaage especially.
Opening times are a bit funny and it can be overcrowded, so be prepared to turn around and seek a meal elsewhere if you have other obligations following.

We went to the Sushi 2016 today at 1100 and it was pretty easy to get a seat leaving at 1200 the place was pretty full with a queue out the front. There was heaps of staff who were efficient and friendly. The food was fresh delicous and well presented. I never knew this restaurant was here until a friend recommended it. So yourself a favour and go.

Staff was very accomodating in getting us a table without a booking however the environment is extremely loud and not relaxing at all. Also they are extremely limited with the gluten free options which was quite disappointing. My guests who did eat also said the sushi was ok, have had better
