We wanted to patronize a local BBQ. Don’t bother, it wasn’t even remotely fresh, no flavor. I would say this ranks up there with the worst BBQ we’ve ever had.

I came into Pawhuska for the first time, for work. I found this place and thought I’d give it a try. I couldn’t even finish my meal. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and a side of fries. The sandwich was cold and the BBQ sauce tasted like it was watered down. Couldn’t eat it. So I moved on to my fries which were at least hot, but once I took a bite discovered they were still raw inside. Thoroughly disappointed.

Go to the Pioneer Woman, which is good, but after that, go to the Pig Stand, where you will not have to wait, but you will enjoy a delicious pig sandwich with fresh cut fries. This is a classic BBQ stand that’s worth stopping for.

The barbeque sauce on sandwich had relish in it. I hate relish. Never seen relish put in a good barbeque sauce. Its flavor is overpowering and would take away from a good sauce. Maybe they have sauce without it but I didn’t know to ask. Meat was ok.
