Went with my wife for dinner on January 12, 2026. I had a rainbow roll and a salmon nigiri. My wife tried a sweet and sour chicken and two veggie rolls. My roll and nigiri were very fresh and tasty, particularly the salmon which I found to be of a very good texture. My wife said the veggie rolls were delicious, and chucken wa good.

The restaurant was kind of hidden out of the way after the pond. The food was pretty good I like my wife’s better the orange chicken. I picked the one with 3 meats and fried noodles. It had less flavors,I think it was more authentic. I personally prefer more spices, and spicier food in general so probably more of a me thing. I did enjoy it had more veggies with it.

I decided to try Szechuan Palace for takeout while in Sedona, but unfortunately, it was a letdown from start to finish. I ordered the orange chicken with fried rice, expecting a satisfying meal.
First, the wait time was excessive – it took 45 minutes for my order to be ready, which seemed unusually long for what should be straightforward dishes. When I finally got my food and opened it at home, I was disappointed to find that the orange chicken had virtually no sauce on it. Orange chicken is supposed to be glazed and flavorful, but this was dry and bland. I also added extra sauce on the side which was not provided, ie. wanted extra sauce and got dry food.
The fried rice was equally disappointing. It was mushy in texture and completely lacking in flavor – no seasoning, no vegetables to speak of, just a soggy, tasteless side that I couldn’t finish.
For the price paid and time spent waiting, this meal fell far short of expectations. I won’t be returning to Szechuan Palace and would recommend looking elsewhere for Chinese food in Sedona.

Good lunch menu and delicious dishes. We had Mongolian beef and Black bean chicken. Good portions and tasty flavors. Located in the same plaza as Whole Foods. Overall good place for lunch.

We ordered a lot of food and it didn’t disappoint. We got several sushi rolls but spicy tuna was not very good. Salmon sushi and Philadelphia roll was nice. We also got gluten free kung pao chicken but water chestnuts were more than the chicken, didn’t taste very good. Tuna tata was really good. Staff is very nice and service is quick. It’s a busy place and they are really good at addressing dietary restrictions. They have gluten free soy sauce available. We also got egg roll, cheese wontons and side salad which were incredible.

We are used to New England Szechuan so we were probably comparing it to the restaurant we frequent. That is why I ranked 3 stars.
We did takeout toward closing time. Portions are large. Beef and broccoli had very tender beef. Dumplings were good. Hot and sour soup was different than what we normally have. Sushi roll was good, but didn’t appear to be rolled tight so it fell apart but had good flavor and was full of eel and avocado. The people are super nice. I do recommend you give it a try.

Restaurant is maintained in excellent condition. The service was prompt and super friendly. We were well serviced while dining. The food was excellent and I believe the cost was relatively cheap for the quality. We will come back!
