Pretty quiet place. Got there on a Wednesday night and the bar was lonely. There were 5 people there and no bartender. She showed up about 5 minutes later. What was lacking in attendance was made up for with the pour. I really don’t know why. More people don’t go to this place. Lots of room, pool tables with good felt. Surrounded by huge trees, which put it in the shade all day long. More people should try this place out. It is a great hide out .

Sympo is cool, there’s 1 nighttime bartender that’s a drunk tramp, the rest of the bartenders are sweet and beautiful. The crowd is mostly working class people. They allow dogs and have a cool patio. If you haven’t been here you should check it out

This bar isn’t high end but it’s spacious and clean. The drinks are cheap and strong. The bartender, Darla, is friendly and provides great service. Thank you, Darla!

I wanted to stop in here for decades and never have since it’s kind of off the beaten path. They’ve been open for 47 years and my uncle used to come down for a beer or two before I was old enough to drink.

15 years ago we used to come here a lot as they allow (well mannered) dogs. It was very calm and enjoyable this time and our well mannered dog liked it too.

Oh my gosh EVEN WORSE then 20 years ago when I was last in there! Didn’t stink then but sill the same carpet. Stunk. Good lord clean it up. Gil’s K9 was packed with people… clean and doesn’t smell. What a shame to see that happened to such a fun place. Clean it up. Call bar rescue.

Be careful having a drink here there’s a creepy homeless man the owner let’s hang around. And the owner is aware of the brown van.

They stole $12 from me by overcharging my card. You can make all the excuses you want about people making mistakes, but if the girls working the bar weren’t drunk and high, the mistake wouldn’t have been made. Left a cash tip, so you can’t claim that was it either.

Probably the best bar I’ve ever been to! My friends enjoyed their drinks quite a bit. The patrons were all absolutely lovely; very friendly and talkative, and you could tell it was the local hang out after work for everyone. And of course, the best part was the dogs. I got to pet four dogs while we were there, and all of them were so well-behaved!! We were planning on going back the next day, but some things happened and we didn’t make it 🙁 If people actually read this — Mark, thanks for the offer of a drink, and Jared thanks for all of the food/bar recommendations!! It was wonderful talking with you both <3 And thank you to the owners of Spartacus, Brutus, Freya, and Dizzy; your babies absolutely made my day ;u;
