This place is the perfect definition of your local diner, serving some of the best breakfast and lunch around! The atmosphere is spot-on, offering both tables and the charm of old fashion bar sitting. The staff was great, the prices are good, and the portions were great. We especially love that they offer daily specials and seasonal items, like the fried green tomatoes. It’s the ideal spot for a reliable, classic meal.

The quintessential diner that we stumbled upon. Simple meals that are packed with amazing flavors. We ordered the breakfast skillet, Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich, and a pork tenderloin sandwich. My wife raved about the sausage gravy that smothered the breakfast skillet, and my son devoured the Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich because the chicken and bacon was crispy, and tasted even better with the Ranch dressing. The pork tenderloin was perfectly cooked, and the coating was perfectly crunchy. The absolute best tasting pork tenderloin I have ever tasted. It tasted even better with the lettuce, onion, tomato, pickles, and mayonnaise on the bottom half of the sandwich. The staff, especially the owner, were friendly and helpful. We look forward to returning in the near future.

I didn’t have a chance to eat here because they were closed. I gave it five stars for the charm and appeal

Hometown eating with that personal touch. Everything was clean and neat. Open grill area and counter seating gives you a nostalgic feel. Bree was friendly, welcoming, and took great care of us. Meat Lovers omelette was deliciously packed with bacon, ham, and sausage. My wife got the skillet and was quite pleased as well. It was a little of the beaten path, but well worth the detour! Cool little park area across the lot and along the bike trail.

revisited, 5.10.24 The tenderloins, corn nuggets, tater tots are still as good as they get
I’ve tried over 120 tenderloins in the past 2 years and these guys are in the top five.
Tenderloins as good as they get.
These are your tradional hand cut, hand pounded, hand breaded, twice the size of the bun tenderloins. The pork is still thick so you get a nice ratio of breading to meat. The grilled tenderloin is lighter but doesn’t have quite the flavor of the breaded tenderloin as the breading also includes herbs. A final big plus is we got carry out and the sandwhiches were wrapped in recyclable foil instead of petroleum based, unrecyclable styrofoam.
Revisited 4/29/22 and tenderloin was another 5 stars
10/8/22 tried the corn nuggets today they were delicious, breaded and grilled tenderloin still the best in the state

Me and my family will no longer be dining with sweetser Cafe. I have never felt so unwelcomed in a restaurant. I go in to eat with my youngest son on his second birthday I’m first told that he can’t share off my plate because the owner doesn’t allow people to share meals. Then I’m told to put on my jacket when it is really warm in there only because I have it tied around my midsection and I’m wearing a sports bra that comes past my rib cage I was not severely exposed it was like wearing a crop top. After being told that I just decided to get our food together and leave. Tabitha the owner of the place was the one who told the server to tell me to put on the jacket and refused to let my son share my food with me. I’ve been here several times before and I have never had an issue until the owner was there I am severely disappointed. The servers are amazing and the atmosphere is usually chill. But today absolutely ruined the whole place for me. Good luck running a business and being unreasonable and disrespectful towards your customers.

Possibly my favorite diner in the county! I love a good, small town, family owned diner with a big breakfast (I probably love the breakfast a little TOO much!)

Absolutely love this small town diner. Every time I go back home to visit family I try to stop here at least once. I wish every town/city had a diner like this…
