Super cute restaurant! Staff is excellent and are very helpful. We ordered fried pork dumplings, Tom yum soup with shrimp, spicy pad Thai with chicken, General Tao chicken and an eel lovers sushi roll

Restaurant is small, 5, 4 table tops plus a small sushi bar

We had an amazing lunch here! Seated right away and had a very delicious meal. We got the steamed Thai dumplings and a scallion pancake to start, the sparkling sake and then we ordered our entrees. I had the special crispy chicken pad Thai, the tempura veggie sushi roll, and my husband got the sweet rice roll and the yam roll. Everything was perfect. We definitely over ordered so we took most for leftovers. The leftovers were just as good!! Will definitely be back in.

We’re looking for Thai cuisine during family road trip and found Sweet Rice Thai Sushi.
The atmosphere is luxurious, staff is friendly, helping and supportive.
Food is good, but PadThai expected to be more classic: not so sweet and more fresh bean sprouts. Also we’re expecting for nuts and lime garnish.
But this is just details. All was fresh and tasty.

Amazing! Small place, but if you’re looking for great sushi, this is the spot. This is the only place to eat sushi when in Upstate New York! Thank you for an amazing experience.

Amazing, the sushi roll was that largest I ever had. The food quality was stellar. The homemade limeade was excellent. We will definitely return. Love this place!!

We had a wonderful lunch experience today! Everything from the Thai tea to the avocado rolls, and then the Tom yum soup with chicken; and then onto the chicken broccoli stir fry and vegetable Thai noodles was outstanding! We made a good choice in getting curries to go too. Our waitress was wonderful and the cafe was spotless and adorable. We are so glad that we discovered this gem.

First time eating here. Small but very clean and inviting. Service is quick and food delivered fast. Only complaint is the avocado fresh roll had only lettuce in it. No avocado, very little shredded carrot. Peanut sauce was good. The steamed dumplings were small but that’s because it was not all dough and no filling. These had lots of filling and dumpling just right. Avocado salad a pleasant surprise with mesclun mix instead of iceberg lettuce and dressing just enough and not drowning the plate. Great flavor and plenty of avocado which made up for the fresh roll shortcomings.
Crunchy roll had pleasant outer coating which was crispy and plenty of fresh tuna and salmon inside. Pineapple fried rice with chicken was plentiful and perfect mix of spices. We opted for the lunch size version of fried rice and ended up bringing half home.
Restaurant is small but we found several tables open plus there is a counter/stools to watch sushi being made.

This was my second time enjoying the food from Sweet Rice. I ordered delivery last month and wanted to try a dine in experience.
I visited this spot for years in its previous role as Sam’s Diner. They did a really nice job updating the space – cute, modern, and a warm vibe.
For my dine in experience, I was with a group of four other adults for a Sunday lunch.
Waitstaff was friendly, helpful, and present – swapping out old dishes for new, refilling beverages, and available without hovering.
The dishes were all good – pictures below include sushi, Thai fried dumplings, crab Rangoon, shrimp pancakes, Drunken Noodles, Fried Rice (I may have missed a couple). All of it was well made (although the dumplings really are just lacking flavor I think), but nothing jumped out at us with a wow factor.
Total before tip was $150 for this spread, comparable to other similar places in the area.
I do have my favorite spot for this type of food, however, and I don’t think I have been persuaded to switch.
