First time visiting was today . Definitely 5 stars! Bought the valentines treat box 5 of them to be exact! They are so delicious so many sweet treats it was hard to choose a favorite! So much more than an ice cream parlour! Sure they’ve got ice cream – soft serve and a sweet variety of scoops, some I’ve never heard of! (Be sure to check out the “hidden flavors.”) And, of course, you can get shakes and sundaes and other ice cream desserts. But… there’s more! Like candy. Some I haven’t seen in years, like Charleston Chews! They’ve got cookies. No wait! They’ve got decadent cookies. And coffee! And snacks! And sandwiches! Hot dogs! Chicken Salad! Even Pimento Cheese! This little hidden gem is an honest to goodness 1950s style ice cream shop located in an actual small town. It is, unfortunately, not located on a small town main street nestled between Floyd’s Barber Shop and the Mayberry Sheriff’s Office. Even though one has to drive, it’s still worth the trip. It’s not very large inside, but that’s ok, this style of ice cream is the kind of thing that one should eat outside anyway, and there’s ample space there. Staff are friendly, ample parking. Prices very reasonable.

For the second year in a row, we used Sweet Peas catering options for our Halloween party. The charcuterie platters are always exceptionally good and the pulled pork Mac and cheese was so delicious and a huge hit with my guests. The owner makes them herself and is so great to work with. I love supporting local!

Delicious hot dogs with chili and cheese. Super customer service. So many desserts and ice cream treats to return and try. Outside seating only. Orders can be placed for homemade chicken salad & pimento cheese, and so many other items. There is a website and FB page. Check them out!

I’m a new resident to the Blythewood area & stumbled across Sweet Pea’s when I was at the Post Office! Didn’t originally intend to have ice cream that evening, but I couldn’t stop myself once I’d gone inside & seen the cutest little ice cream parlor with all the yummy goodies!
I believe the lady who assisted me was Cindy (sorry if I got your name wrong!). She was so sweet in telling me all about their offerings, and flavors, & even let me sample a few before I made my decision! I ended up with 3 pints (Rainbow Sherbert, Hurrican Charlie, & Christmas Cookie) & a 2 scoop bowl of vanilla with strawberries & gummy bears on top! The prices were well worth the taste & quality. I’ve always rather supported small, local businesses than big blockchain stores, and I’m so glad I do! Sweet Pea’s is well worth it & I will definitely be going back more often in the near future!!
