It was my first visit to Sweeney’s Saloon in over 25 years, but I happened to be nearby and was looking for someplace to have dinner. I’m very happy that I chose Sweeney’s because the food was delicious, the server was attentive & knowledgeable, and the atmosphere was very relaxed and comfortable. The menu had exactly the kind of food I was looking for. I had a hamburger which was very good and which included a large serving of fresh hot french fries. My co-diner had a bowl of chili and a smaller hamburger which included a couple onion rings. They thought that both were very good. The food arrived pretty quickly and the whole experience was very enjoyable. It had been a long time since I had last been there, but it definitely won’t be a long time before I return again. I highly recommend giving Sweeney’s Saloon a try if you’re looking for good food that’s reasonably priced and served in a no frills, relaxed space.

Im so happy that i found this place! I love the outdoors area and the cocktails starting at 7$ are a great deal and tasty. Happy hour 1.50$ tacos are also a great deal. I also live their cheese curds! Overall great place for summer hangouts!

This is a great pub with a fantastic atmosphere! The service was incredibly friendly and impressively fast. We ordered the prime rib, which came as a generous sandwich with a fresh, flavorful salad on the side. We also tried a half basket of fries, which were perfectly fresh and crispy.
The overall vibe was enjoyable and welcoming. Whether you’re looking for good food or a relaxing place to hang out, this pub is a solid choice. Highly recommend!

Pretty solid food in a nice little area of St. Paul,MN. Bar definitely feels like it’s a place that people in the surrounding area come to hang out. Wings are huge for size and decently priced. A basket of fries is more than enough for four people. Cheese curds were good but like any fried food. You have to eat them quickly before they get cold. Definitely would go back with a group of friends to grab beers and eat the food or

Stopped here with my 5- and 7-year old kids for lunch. Say on their patio, which is such a vibe.
Had the chicken wings. These suckers are huge. I had the Thai and buffalo sauces. They were good enough. The chicken tenders are hand breaded and delicious.
Beer selection was good. Beer wasn’t quite as cold as I would have liked.

Waitress was dull, I believe she took a smoke break while serving us. Food took way longer than expected to come out and was cold when we received our food. Dull atmosphere and not a fun experience.

This has been our favorite neighborhood bar for years!! The wings there are the best in town. They have a nice rotating beer selection, some good NA options, and their patio is spectacular!! The mature trees grow right into the booths, and there is a great stone fireplace to keep you warm in the “shoulder seasons.”
It seriously feels like you’re in a grown-up Sesame Street… cozy, nostalgic, friendly, and good ole’ classic neighborhood fun.
Go there just once, and it’ll become your favorite regular spot!

Bartender was cool. Place was not very welcoming. I walked in for lunch and no one was there except employees chatting. I couldn’t tell if they were open and I felt like I interrupted their conversation. Seemed like they thought I was going to sell them something. Food was okay

Pretty dope local spot with a nice menu and drink selection. They also got some big ol wings…get em fried hard or crispy and tell ‘em to make sure they covered in sauce. Plus they have different specials all throughout the week…would def go again!
