My boyfriend and I love coming here when we can! The prices are pretty good for what you get our hotdogs are always loaded up. I’m not even usually a big fan of hot dogs but these are amazing

Great food for a reasonable price. Kidds loved the loaded tots and the FC Frito Frank probably the best chili dog in town.

It’s hard to find local restaurants (not chain restaurants or food trucks) that do interesting hot dogs and stay in business, so I’m hoping this one does! As you can see, there are PLENTY of toppings. The hot dogs and brats are thinner than you might expect, but they are also much longer than your average hot dogs. Everything tasted great, though I regret not getting the breakfast brat myself. It comes on two small waffles instead of a bun, so it’s easy to split and share. The portion of tater tots was impressive. The man at the register – perhaps the owner? – checked on us a couple of times to make sure everything was good, which was nice. Definitely great service.

We ordered the CNC, Berlin Brat and tater tots. I will start with the tots. We asked for them extra crispy and they were served mushy, stuck together and super greasy. Those went in the garbage as not to get an upset tummy from all the old grease. I am not a fan of the bun. First it wasn’t grilled as it says it should come. Second it was stale and hard and way too chewy. Plus just too much bun. The hot dog itself taste and eats way more like a sausage than any hot dog I’ve ever had. It also is supposed to come with shredded cheese but, if it was put on their it was so little I couldn’t see it. The brat was good but, the sauerkraut actually tasted like it was going bad. As my husband says, “It tasted rancid” Everything went into the garbage. All in all I would never stop here again. I wanted this to be such a great experience and it just wasn’t. I’m totally bummed.

Al and Irie debuted another winning culinary venue in Floyds Knobs this week and it is outrageously awesome. All meats, toppings, and buns are locally sourced in Indiana. They graciously gave me a tour of the kitchen where these “dogs” are created. The brats are made with veal and beef and the dogs are made with beef and pork. Al steams both brats and dogs to tenderize prior to cooking to perfection on two large flat top grills. All buns are toasted lightly with olive oil on the flat top grill as well. Al created not one, but two decadently delicious dogs for me to savor at home and wow…what a treat! “Highway 150” was the first gourmet Swanky Frank I tried. The “Highway 150” bun was generously douced with horseradish mustard and the dog was topped with a phenominal pork BBQ, savory slaw and and spicy roasted red peppers. “Highway 150” was a feat of gastronomical greatness. Now the “Big Bad Brat” was astounding as well. The “Big Bad Brat” bun was layered with New York aged white cheddar and generously douced with a creole mustard. The Brat was topped with Al’s homemade sauerkraut which was imbued with fresh coarsely cut cabbage and fresh dill, boiled in apple cider and apple cider vinegar. Irie added a generous portion of chopped red onion at my request. Again…”JUST WOW”! Everyone needs to get out to Swanky Franks at Highlander Point in Floyds Knobs to test Al’s epicurean excellence in Delightful, Delectable Dogery!

We had the HWY 150 and the Johnny Dawg. They were amazing! I’ve never had a hotdog with such a pop when you bite into it. The coleslaw and pulled pork were perfect on the hwy 150. They are also huge. Such a good deal for $6
