What a hidden gem! We wanted a bite to eat on the road between Houston and Austin, and this place absolutely hit the spot.
The tacos were amazing, and they make their own tortillas! Great grilled onions and peppers to go along with the tacos. We also got a MASSIVE burrito and burger, which had high quality grilled meat, veggies, and more. Couldn’t be happier with the portions and quality of the food here!
The seating area is small, but it’s cozy on a cooler evening day. Food service was not fast, but everything was made to order, and it was worth the wait!
Overall, I would definitely come back, and you have to come give their food a try!!

Hands down, Suzy’s is our favorite taco place on Giddings. One of the best anywhere and that’s a big deal given our options. Always friendly service and their food has incredible flavors and textures. My wife and I highly recommend them!

As a person that lives in Austin, TX, with its many options for tacos, I find this place to be a hidden gem in Giddings, TX. The five mini pastor tacos were filled to the max, and the half-chicken quesadilla was excellently done! Their red and green sauce were packed with flavors as their pastor meat. We only spent $18 for two well-portion sizes of food—also, the excellent and friendly service.

These are THE BEST Barria Tacos you’ll ever eat – and that’s says a lot for someone from San Diego, just minutes from Mexico. Slow roasted and drowning in special broth, the chunks are placed on fresh tortillas and pressed till they melt in your mouth. Starting as a single mother for 12 years, she developed her business after the café. She worked for wanted her SALSA to keep customers happy… Hence, Suzie’s Sauce was born. Do your pallet of favor and don’t miss this spot!!!

Looking for some authentic Mexican food, try this little food truck/trailer – street tacos served with limes, cilantro, fresh raw and grilled onions! Be sure to get both types of salsa, so good!
The staff there are proud of their food and it shows. All y’all driving through Giddings on your way to somewhere else be sure to pop over, it’s literally 2 blocks off the main road through town!

The most authentic Mexican food that I’ve had at a restaurant. This is essentially the food you get from a Mexican mom’s house. You will not regret stopping by Suzy’s Sauce. I will be sure to stop by again when heading back and forth from Austin to Houston.

To say what my visit here was a pleasurable one would surely be an understatement. I arrived about 45 minutes for close and it was rather slow… Which might account for some of the one-on-one attention that I got, but it was unforgettable. I asked them what they were most proud of and they made for me a platter of five of their tacos… Two of them chorizo and two of them birria and the fifth… I don’t recall because I devoured it so quickly. However, this is also after the fact that they gave me a chorizo taco just for waiting. There was this great sense of family pride and I really translated into their execution of their food. It was absolutely delectable and they homemade all of their tortillas which really accentuated the authenticity of these tacos. I am an out of towner and would recommend this even if it was out of the way for you.
