This place is a little hidden gem. I absolutely love the chef there as he is amazing in creating unique rolls. This is my sons favorite (and only) local sushi spot.
I would recommend stopping at Sushi Yoru. If you do not know what kind of roll to get just ask the chef and he will customize anything for you.
Update 8/31/25 – 6+ years of incredible service and world class food. From my son’s first time to present day, it never gets old and we continue to crave the master creations!

Great food in a strip mall. If you are looking for delicious and a good price… this is it! My tuna dragon was awesome. The seaweed salad perfect. The free miso soup was good. All the rolls we had were tasty. Big order of edamame but a little bland. Mom and pop ran the place. I’d go back if I’m ever here again

Since moving to the area almost 2 years ago, my husband and I really enjoy good sushi, and this place is truly a hidden gem! We’ve tried a couple of other local places, but honestly, this is the one place we just always go to when the craving for amazing sushi hits!
The owners are very nice and friendly. I believe it’s just them there, too. The female owner is always pleasant on the phone when we call to place our large order! Her husband (I think) is the sushi “chef.” Most times you do have to order a little in advance for takeout/pickup, but I promise it’s worth the wait! It’s fresh and made-to-order, just like great sushi should be! Every roll is perfection and made with care, and very tasty! We’ve never had a bad experience here, ever.
I hope this restaurant continues to thrive because we need it!! Hands down, the best sushi we’ve ever had! If you haven’t tried it, just do it!

One of the best sushi places I’ve experienced in Chicagoland. The owners are very friendly and polite and the chef is absolutely masterful. Watching the food be made was a genuine treat. Everything is high quality and delicious. Will be visiting again (and again) for sure!

Can’t say enough good things! The food was outstanding. The place is run by the sweetest people. Very attentive, even when they were busy. And I’m so glad they were so busy. They deserve it!! The ramen was fantastic. I loved the ginger dressing on the mini salad. So much, I poured the dregs into a soy sauce bowl and dunked my deep fried sweet potato roll. Delish!!!

My absolute FAV! Not an ordinary sushi joint. Custom Comfort Exotic and Traditional original Japanese and Korean fast casual dishes from the most expert sushi chef around. Personal front of house service with attention to the last detail. Great affordable lunch specials like sushi bowls and sushi burritos. Mmmmm yes so fresh with bold flavors and textures . If you like poke bowls, they have their version of the sushi Bibimbap. Really where else can you get an amazing sushi salad it’s got everything every flavor and every texture. If you like sushi burritos, they have that too.

Hidden gem in the strip mall! This is a mom and pop shop, and the chef has some good ideas for sushi! Good prices and large portions. Tasted fresh and loved the seared rolls.
