Generally, the quality of the sushi wasn’t great, but the salmon collar was amazing. I would come back just for the grilled fish collar and not get the set.

Amazing Omakase and dry sake pairing. Reservation for one at the bar with amazing service. The first sake was a bit sweet for my liking and we created a new extremely dry sake tasting which I liked better with the Omakase and should hopefully make the menu. The Uni was perfect. Great atmosphere and early seating you get the bar to yourself.

We had the chef’s tasting. All aspects of the experience were average. One of the cheaper “omakase” experiences in the city but value was not there especially for seasoned sushi lovers.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Sushi Shio in San Francisco and I must say, we were thoroughly impressed. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with excellent service. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, with just the right amount of lighting to create a relaxing atmosphere.

Came here for dinner with family had the shio omakase it was good but not the best. The sushi tasted more cured than fresh and the portions were relatively small. The yuzu panacotta is good but small as well. The uni truffle bowl was good especially for those who like uni.

COVID protocols were great. They took our temperature at the door. This is the first restaurant I’ve been to that has done that. Good spacing between the tables. The server was very considerate of when he needed to enter into our space. Gloves were worn the whole time. Everything was paperless from the menu to the final bill. They changed/cleaned the tablet in between patrons even though two other tables around me were ready to pay the bill at the same time. Bonus is that they’re one of the few sushi restaurants on the Eater SF list that is open on Mondays! Food tasted fantastic, and the chef was able to accommodate the omakase menu to be compliant with my diabetic needs. Great value for the price, also. I highly recommend!

This is my favorite sushi spot in the Bay Area. The quality is amazing and the sushi flavors are so unique. No soy sauce required. I always get the regular omakase set coupled with the deluxe set. The price is very reasonable. Last weekend, I tried the uni bowl and it truly did not disappoint. THE BEST!!

Had the omakase x2, with the toro/uni/waygu supplement. Pretty great Nigri and other small dishes. Nicely balanced rice and seasoning. Good value for quality. Will have to come back for the uni don!
