While out and about stumbled upon this place. Stopped in with the fam.. The place looks great inside.. Decor is very nice, and it’s a great place for a date or family outing. Average, fancy new American sushi spot with hip music and Buddhist decor. Very clean inside with nicer than average chopsticks and menus. They’re hitting all the marks for look and feel, except maybe the music. Salmon and krab salad was very good and large; I was comfortable with what I got for the price and would even purchase it again. Eel roll was very good. Ika appetizer was good. Nigiri sushi was okay. Fish is fresh, and nothing was bad. But also nothing was particularly amazing and worth the higher prices if you ask me. I’ve had bigger cuts of fish, warmer vinegared rice, and crispy nori for more affordable prices. It could be that inflation is making it harder to enjoy these types of restaurants. Definitely not an authentic Japanese restaurant, but more high end American sushi. No refill hot water for your green tea, which is embarrassing because it’s such a cheap way to satisfy customers . Cash out experience is that awkward scenario with server standing over you as you review your bill and tip, and the handheld defaults to 20% tip. The restaurant was dead at lunch time on a Friday. I imagine / hope they do better at dinner time.

Definitely check out Sushi Sake. We started with Hamachi yellow tail shashimi – it was very fresh, delicious. For drinks we had the Lychee Sake Mojito and Coedo Marihana Session IPA and both were really good. I def recommend the Mojito. For rolls, we had the Mango Tango roll which was advertised on their board for specials. We also had the Dolphin roll, Spicy Tuna roll, and the JB roll. The food was amazing. They do have GF soy sauce; but I wish they had low-sodium GF soy sauce. The ambiance was very nice and chill. The service was top notch, our server, Liz I think was very personable and attentive and the wait staff was quick to clear the tables. We’re definitely going back during happy hour to set at the bar. Parking was plenty and close.

Check out sushi sake today. Was able to sit at one of the tables that’s in the picture. I did notice there were only three of them, not sure if there are others in the restaurant. Our server, Derick, was very attentive and made good recommendations. The food was good quality we split a couple of plates between the two of us. The rolls were on the higher side price wise but they were good. Definitely worth a try.

Incredible place, food and service! Food alone was super tasty, the beautiful environment was unexpected, the outside doesn’t do justice to the beauty you’ll find inside. I was treated so well in there, my waiter was so welcoming, I don’t know how to use chopsticks, he saw I was struggling and he nicely gave me clips, I didn’t feel judged at all. It’s an amazing place, everyone there were just the nicest.

I had high hopes for this place. Everything was ok. But that was the problem, it was ok. It was not great or awesome, but simply ok. I understand the cost for goods has gone up, but the cost of what we ordered seemed very high. Service and atmosphere was great so that’s a plus. When I have than a less than 5 star experience, I like to give places another try. If I do, I’ll be sure to update my experience then.
