Support your local owner-operated small business! Andy is the best! He opened the doors for us when they were still closed. Food was amazing, homemade Soy Sauce, Must try the signature Armitage roll! My girlfriend & I eat sushi multiple times a week and this roll really stuck out. It was AAA++++++++

So, I just found them and regret not knowing them earlier. The food was super fresh, especially as a salmon lover I enjoyed everything. The atmosphere is very friendly, and all of them greet everyone who comes into the place. It is not cheap but believe me their portion sizes are super, and once again very fresh. I rotally recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy fresh sushi that actually makes them full. There are a lot of parking space outside. Furthermore, there is even valet parking literally in front of their door.

We ordered take out. The sushi was pretty good so we will return. We ordered the sunshine roll, spicy salmon, yummy, shrimp/cucumber and caterpillar. 5 rolls among 3 of us for just right.

This place is very hidden and I only knew about because of living near by. I am definitely coming back. The portion sizes are good and they give you thicker cuts of fish. I ordered to go Sake Love, Play Boy, and Armitage rolls, also crab ragoons. I liked all of them except the armitage. The sauce on it was too sweet. Fried rice was good! It just needs vegetables to be cut smaller. Also just wished crab ragoon had a little more in them but i would order them again they were tasty.

The sushi was delicious, the crab ragoons were filled nicely, you can tell they really care that you have a good experience. Definitely will come back! Highly recommend the Armitage roll!!

Despite rave reviews on Google, this Japanese family-run restaurant left much to be desired. The sushi and rolls lacked authenticity, with an imbalance in fish-to-rice ratio and below par quality and freshness. The extensive roll options fell short in flavor, often with overpowering or overly sweet sauces. The dated decor can be forgiven given the restaurant’s long-standing presence. However, the attentive and friendly service was the only standout feature. Overall, the food experience was underwhelming.

Get the Armitage Roll. Andy the chef may recommend it, listen to him. As an avid sushi lover that is one of if not the best roll I’ve ever had, not overly complicated but an absolute treat for your mouth. Seaweed salad was our other dish and it was very good although a bit too much vinegar for my taste but that’s my Americanized subjective opinion. The chef is the other factor that makes this place amazing. A wonderful person with incredible inviting energy makes ever dining experience here into a unique trip you’ll look forward to time and time again.

Let me start off by saying I was a little skeptical coming in. I was humbly met by Andy the chef and owner and his wife. The energy immediately set my mood on another level. We ordered the gyoza which was cold in the middle but we were still delighted by the incredibly personable and welcoming owners. Every piece of sushi was hand crafted beautifully and tasted great in every bite. If you find yourself by Lincoln Park and want an exciting and energetic atmosphere with great tasting sushi and good drinks, this is the place to go.
