I thought the service and the food were great! Plus it’s just a fun place to eat. They have a little robot that delivers food too! My husband and I both had a variety of rolls as well as appetizers. This was our first experience at Sushi King – we were pleasantly surprised and will definitely return!

Have been coming here for a while and food has always been okay quality wise but worth the price. I went there tonight and received a Philadelphia roll with some sort of paper or skin instead a salmon? I’m very confused as to what I ate and had to spit out and extremely disappointed and didn’t even want to finish my meal afterwards. The server didn’t even remove this dish from the table and had to stare at it the rest of the meal which was just super unappetizing. I have ordered this same roll for years and have never experienced this and really deters me from wanting to go to one of my favorite sushi places again.

No good, and no desserts, no ice cream even. Our server was friendly when she is by. They have a robot server also but not so interactive, almost like a roomba that stops on your table then tells you to pickup your food. The taste of the food were no good. Sushi were dry and bland. I don’t think they even have Japanese chefs in the kitchen at all. Other all you can eat sushi place are as bad I believe, so next time, we’ll just go for yukai buffet if we want to pig out.

First time ever at this sushi king. Ordered a volcano roll, and it came with mushy rice and soggy skin, along with the crab inside of it tasting putrid. I asked if it could be remade and the server took it but never brought it a new one. I also ordered a California roll at the same time and it took nearly 15 minutes before I even got sight of it. That was the only thing that tasted okay. I then ordered hibachi steak. Not only was the steak mushy and lacking flavor, but the veggies were undercooked and the yum yum sauce was nearly the texture of water. I dipped the steak in the sauce and it all just ran off. This has got to be the worst experience I’ve ever had with any restaurant, and I don’t even leave reviews. The server was nice enough to just remove the food from my table, but then asked if I wanted my check then and there. There was absolutely no way I was paying for those plates of disappointment and dissatisfaction. I would not recommend this place at all. It’s been 10 minutes since I left and I feel nauseous as I type this. Absolutely disgusting.

This was horrible experience, the server only came once to take another order, our table didn’t even get the food we ordered. No one got refills on drinks the entire meal. Our food was quick to arrive but definitely have had a lot better sushi at Volcano or other places around here. Then four different servers came to ask how old our kids were, yet it took 30 minutes to get the check. I would highly suggest picking a different location!!!!

Went there for lunch on Sunday and the place had just opened so there was no one inside dining yet. When we got seated I noticed they only gave us dinner menus. When I asked the server she told me that they do not do lunch prices on the weekends so we ended up paying the dinner price which compared to their advertised lunch prices is substantial. I will probably never attempt to go there for a weekend lunch because of this policy. The sushi was good as well as the service but paying over sixty dollars for just two people for lunch to me is excessive and not worth it.

I really loved the ambiance of this updated restaurant. Their sake and mixed drinks have good flavor but not very much alcohol. The hibachi was very tasteful and the portions were perfect. My girlfriend and I enjoyed our 7 different rolls and shrimp tempora. They were very flavourful and easy on the palate. Overall, this was a good all you can eat sushi restaurant. I was unable to take photos of everything we enjoyed, but I will attach a couple.

Decent sushi and good service if you don’t mind a lobotomized wait staff. There wasn’t a smile or kind word in the whole restaurant. The store itself was broken and dirty. The floors were slick with grease, and the AC was off. It was 90 degrees out, and the AC was off. The fried rice was flavorless.

Location is under new management as of May 2022. We first tried Sushi King on Monticello Street in Norfolk and loved it so decided to give this location a try. Food was excellent, many options for entrees were available, staff was attentive, service was good, and the serving robot was very cute. 100% would recommend this restaurant to others
