Was able to try out Sushi Iwa in Apex for the first time and there were two rolls that I loved.
First one was the “ROCK N ROLL” which had salmon, avocado, tempura flakes and spicy mayonnaise, topped with salmon, jalapeno and wasabi miso sauce. Second one was the “CHERISH U” which had spicy tuna and avocado, topped with salmon.
Also had their yellow curry. The broth was delicious but would hold the onions next time if it’s an option. Their rolls were BOGO which is always a plus when quality isn’t sacrificed! Food came out quick and our server was super sweet. Overall will be back!

My sushi takeout go-to! Classic, authentic sushi. The nigiri, sashimi, & rolls have always been consistently delicious. Nice, fresh looking fish & well-prepared. Sushi rice flavored well. The roll choices are fun & there’s always something new to try. Would go back!

The crazy roll was delicious!! They have so many options to choose from for rolls, fried rice, etc. I recommend even for someone who does not like sushi that much. They have BOGO sushi rolls daily so quite affordable for two or more!

Fresh and delicious food! The drunken noodles are awesome and all the sushi is delicious! Excellent variety and selection! Service is great and the staff is very friendly! Large enough that even on a Friday night, when they’re slammed, the wait is minimal and well worth it!

Most of the Sushi rolls were good. There was one that tasted very odd. We didn’t eat that one. They have BOGO but the rolls are all kind of pricey so it evens out to as of you get normal priced rolls from any other place. The roll selection is like an encyclopedia so get ready to read and compare a lot. The outside seating was quiet and our server was very nice.

I recently checked out Sushi Iwa and honestly, the food was pretty solid. The sushi was fresh, nicely rolled, and tasted great—definitely not disappointed there. But the biggest thing that stood out was the size of the menu. There are SO many options. Like, almost too many. It took me a good while just to go through everything and figure out what to order. If you’re indecisive like me, be prepared to spend some time figuring it out!
That said, it’s kind of a cool problem to have—tons of variety. I stuck with sushi this time, but I noticed they also had a whole bunch of Thai dishes, which I didn’t get to try. I’m definitely curious about those for my next visit. I even saw dessert sushi on the menu, which was unexpected! I didn’t try it, but it looked fun and different.
Overall, good experience, solid food, just maybe streamline the menu a little or highlight popular items to make it easier to choose. I’ll be back to try more for sure.

good sushi rolls and crab rangoons, i got the lemon salmon roll and the rockin roll. the lemon salmon was my favorite and the lemon on it was very refreshing. the rockin roll was good, but the tempura makes it a bit heavier and very filling. the crab rangoons were very good, nice flavor, and smooth. the waiter landon was also nice

Hands down the best sushi I’ve had in the Triangle area! Sushi Iwa’s BOGO deals are unbeatable, and the portions are generous.
The staff is friendly and attentive, even on busy nights. Highly recommend the Marry Roll and Dynamite Roll – they’re to die for! Can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu
