Low-key Japanese restaurant offering a creative sushi selection, plus small plates & imported beer.

Fish was fresh. Crispy rice roll with sesame seeds and tuna was to die for. Outdoor seating was not great was looking into a parking lot and gas station. Service was somewhat slow, but at the same time we were there during busy time and was blessed to get seated. Inside looked really cool. They have the sushi chefs, out in the open for people to see them and perfect their craft. Everything seemed a bit overpriced overall for the quality of sushi. Also, the parking lot is super compact and it’s not the easiest place to find.

Came here for dinner – did not disappoint. We got the spicy garlic edamame and three rolls – Ex-Boyfriend, Fish Attack Special, and I forgot the last one. The service was quick and the rolls were all delicious. The staff greet you in Japanese which was really cute!

This is my favorite sushi restaurant, and I’m a sushi snob!! Everything is fresh and the fish melts in your mouth. Small restaurant so seating is limited and expect to wait if you don’t have a reservation, especially on the weekend. Prices are reasonable for the quality. Took 4 of my friends here and everyone couldn’t stop talking about how fresh the fish was and they are all fisherman! Top quality, great service, owner means business and knows how to run this place. Their Philadelphia roll is the best I ever had and to die for! I have tried so many rolls and all are so good. So happy to have this spot in my hometown of Clairemont. Do NOT skip this place, it is AMAZING! I truly hope this place stays around forever! I eat here at least once a month. Yum Yum!!

Clean setting, fresh tasting fish, and lots of cut roll options. The prices were reasonable though portions were a bit small even by post-pandemic standards when many restaurants shrank their portions. Parking is quite limited in front. Service was prompt and friendly. Recommended.

Nice place with great food. The super salmon sushi is really good, especially with the wasabi in soy sauce. Also their mochi ice cream tastes very good, I liked the mango flavor. Cheapest soft shell crab ever. Chicken teriyaki didn’t impress us but we couldn’t find anything wrong either, probably should go with sushi.

I want to cry every time I eat here because it’s so good, I actually get emotional. I wish I could eat here everyday wow. I usually get 2 hand rolls and a roll and it’s about 35 with tip! I almost cry when I eat the yellowtail hand roll with a side on ponzu because it’s that good . I wish I could live here. My friends and I eat in silence because it’s that good. Also they’re so nice I love them

If you’re in the mood for some spicy and delicious sushi, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The jalapeno bombs are a must-try, they pack a punch of flavor without being overwhelmingly spicy. The Spicy Crunch Shrimp and Spicy Tuna rolls were standout dishes, and for those who don’t love seafood, the Spicy Crispy Rice roll is a fantastic alternative. Although service was slow on a busy night, the waiters were attentive and friendly. Just be prepared for a bit of a wait during peak hours.

Highly recommend. Great casual sushi restaurant. The spicy tuna crispy rice roll was incredible. We also enjoyed the tuna nigiri, seared salmon nigiri, edamame, and the avocado and cucumber roll – all 5/5
