Went here after reading the great reviews. Worth the hype. Great food and great prices. The staff is amazing and the atmosphere is great too. It was busy for a Tuesday night so best to reserve a table ahead of time specially for weekends.

I’ve ordered here twice now. I can attest to the fact that this is probably the freshest food I’ve had in some time, you can just taste it. Chicken hibachi was consistently delicious each time. The gyoza is fantastic and I really enjoy the vegetable tempura with dipping sauce. I love that there is food like this right in Guilderland. If you’ve not tried it yet – do so!!

Visited Akanomi for the first time after hearing good reviews. The restaurant was bigger than I thought with a relaxing atmosphere. The waitress was friendly and gave us plenty of time to review the menu, didn’t make us feel rushed.
I ordered the dinner box for $25.99 which was plenty of food. I didn’t even finish all the rice. I would definitely order again maybe even try a few sushi rolls. They had a very large selection in the menu.

Best sushi in the area second only to their customer service. If you’re looking for a nice date, a quick bite, or to have a good time with friends and family this is the place to go! Great nigiri amazing special rolls, and fantastic entrees and appetizers. You can’t go wrong with anything on their menu.

Had a really good dinner here the other night. I got the dinner box and it was more food than I could eat but it was all delicious. Also has some flavored saki we both enjoyed. And for dessert we had fried cheesecake! The staff was great and I really liked the ambiance.

For the first time in a long time, my wife and I got a date night. Since she has food restrictions, she mentioned giving this place a try since it was at the top of her Gluten Free group.
She ended up getting a couple of different sushi rolls, and I ended up getting the Chicken Curry Katsu. The staff were super knowledgeable about things that couple be made gluten free, and they had gluten free soy sauce as well.
The Curry Katsu was amazing. I was in heaven. I was only expecting the traditional style curry, which has onions, potato and carrot in it. I ended up getting all that plus broccoli, zucchini, and a few other vegetables. It was spicy, and creamy and just VERY VERY comforting.
We will definitely be coming to this place again. 🙂
