Best fish and chips I’ve had in many years. What an amazing surprise! We stopped on a road trip to stretch our legs and happened across this food truck. The tables and food truck were cute and meticulously clean. The whitefish was fresh, tender and flaky, and not overly oily! The fries were crispy and fresh tasting (no old oil here!!), with the right amount of seasoning. Amazing tartar sauce and coleslaw. And it came with a pickle, which was a nice touch.

Only open Thursday through Sunday, until the first week of October. Closes at 7 each night.
Fantastically good fresh local fish and chips. Whatever they’re doing is perfection.
I will easily drive another 1300km to have it again!

I think it is definitely worth the visit when traveling along HWY 17.

We’re from Britain and this is far and beyond the best fish and chips we’ve ever had, the view onto Wawa lake whilst you’re eating isn’t half bad either. 100% worth the visit if you’re in Wawa

Hands down the best fish and chips of my life! Kyle, Christian, and Cheryl were so warm and welcoming. We felt like family. Made the long drive from Kitchener well worth it! I’m not sure when I’ll be back in Wawa again soon but Superior Coast will be on my agenda if I am.

My first time having Whitefish like that. It was a great and very large helping of fresh Lake Superior Whitefish and amazing fries. It was a bit hidden from view tucked in from the outfitter shop beside. A perfect choice on our way through Wawa.

On June 21st I went to Superior Coast Fish & Chips in Wawa, Ontario, for the first time and it lived up to its reputation!!
The fresh caught Whitefish prepared by Rachael was light and flakey and nicely seasoned. Add some fresh cut fries with malt vinegar, coleslaw, tartar sauce and lemon wedges and it was the perfect dinner after a day of hiking the beautiful trails in Lake Superior Provincial Park!!
