I had high hopes for this place after seeing it had over 4 stars and so many positive reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite—and honestly, one of the worst I’ve ever had at a buffet.
The food looked like it had been sitting out for hours. Most of it was cold, soggy, dry, and completely flavorless. Some dishes were barely warm, while others had a strange texture like they’d been reheated more than once. Nothing tasted fresh, and several items were simply inedible.
To make matters worse, shortly after eating, I became physically ill, which makes me seriously question the food safety standards here. For a buffet, where freshness and rotation are supposed to be priorities, this was completely unacceptable.
I truly don’t understand the high ratings. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but based on what I experienced, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. It was a waste of money, and more importantly, a risk to my health.
Great seafood selection both times in. My son was able to try a variety of seafood, including roe and mussels. I loved all the sushi and sashimi choices on that bar. I ventured out a bit, too, because of the wonderful presentation and freshness. Some interesting dishes available, such as octopus salad, as well as more familiar Asian dishes. I love their green beans, and the rice noodles were seasoned wonderfully. I wasn’t able to try the dinner entrees, but I was there for the changeover. Definitely worth the price.
Restrooms were very clean. Back area on the east does show a bit of storage that should perhaps be more out of sight. Seemed there was seating back there, as well, but a lot of boxes in view, depending on where you’re seated. Still very nice atmosphere in the main dining area. Bright yet inviting. Great for a date night or family dinner.
The manager did come visit with me my first time in, and he was very pleasant and personable and shared the work he’s putting into keeping the place nice – and it shows! The foods are hot and tasty, the place is clean, and the service is very good.
I couldn’t wait to bring my family, and my son loved it! Next, I’ll bring my vegetarian husband, because even with the seafood being the star of the show, there’s enough variety for everyone! Bring an appetite, and if you’re feeling it, try something new to you!
And there’s sushi. Besides the California roll and other 4-5 cooked rolls, there are raw fish sushi (E.g. salmon, tuna), and eel sushi that is not common. I went there 2 weekends in a row and both times there are salmon and tuna sashimi, and oysters on the shell as well so great news if that’s your jam.
For the weekend it’s $21.99 for adults, which is more expensive than most Chinese buffets in town, but you get to try items that are not available elsewhere. One minor observation is that both times I visited, there is no saucer for the wasabi so I had to use the soup bowl.
