Heard about this place from a local. So glad we ate here! I would call it no frills, but that doesn’t mean it’s lacking in anything. I had the pulled pork plate. Perfectly done, nice and juicy. I think their bbq sauce is the best I’ve ever had. The potato casserole was delicious! I do wish I would have gotten the fried corn instead of the corn nuggets. Husband said his ribs, sausage and fries were Very good. I was too full to try the peach cobbler.

Listen, if you are hungry on a Thursday and it’s lunch time, be here. Get the meatloaf it comes with mashed potatoes so I then get double collard greens with a piece of cornbread. I promise it’s the best meatloaf hands down. I even had my momma come from North Georgia to rate it. She knew it was better then hers. And my momma’s was the best until I had Hog Heavens.

Smoked chicken is moist and delicious! Brisket is great, although a lot more “fatty” than I’ve had on past visits. Mac n cheese is good, turnip greens very good. Service is excellent! Always busy but without long waits. A definite must visit if you like smoked bbq

We stopped for lunch on our road trip. We Googled places near Laurel and Hog Heaven had the best reviews from hundreds of people. It’s a little further off the hwy but absolutely worth it.
The atmosphere is fun and welcoming. The service was so friendly and efficient, and the food was awesome. Our party tried the brisket, pulled pork, chicken tenders and cheeseburger as well as a variety of different sides. Everyone enjoyed their meal.
Once hearing that it was a friend’s birthday, our server quickly offered a free choice of dessert, but we were all too full from our great meal to accept.
Great place and great value.

We were there a few weeks ago and they had signs up announcing new menu. We come to Laurel about once or twice a month to have dinner with my brother’s family. The food here is good and the service is fine. The new menu sucks. Nothing really changed except the prices. Two people could eat here reasonably. Now it’s unforgivable. It was not so long ago that you could buy the same BBQ plate in the parking lot or on the side of the road being sold by a church or someone to raise money for something. The food is good, it’s just no great or worth the price. If I want BBQ, I’ll be cooking it at home myself. We have options, just like with the cable and other companies. When you price yourself out of the market, people choose the alternative, if it means staying home and cooking instead of eating out; well I have better things to do with my money. $60 for two plates ain’t happening.
