We have been here several times and the service is typically very good, the food is good and comes out quick and the prices are good. The place is a little tight, kind of country rooster themed, I feel like this place has far better reviews for what you actually do get though. This place is just really an average shop who makes it by with good prices, decent portions, and thrives off of regulars. The last time we were there a waitress who was not ours at the time came around asking if any of us needed coffee refills, I made the huge mistake of holding the mug during the pour, the waitress spilled hot coffee all over my hand. I remained calm and the waitress apologized but never even came back with napkins or anything to clean my scolding hand or table and the pain seemed to increase, and even with my discomfort still no assistance was to be had. I spent the next few hours attempting to soothe my burn. Besides all of this the above is still true about the typically positive staff, food, and prices, but maybe more of a once in a while stop because anything more and this place seems redundant.

We stopped in from out of town, and we were immediately greated by everyone whom were very friendly. We didn’t want to sit down and asked if we could order to go, they obliged and took our order as soon as we were ready. Menu prices are great, we got three breakfast sandwiches. The ham egg and cheese was so delish, my daughter asked to trade her bacon for mine. Had we not been in town for such a short time, we would’ve stopped back in for a sit down meal.

Place is a throw back to the 60s and that is what is so great about it. Good food, very inexpensive and Dawn is the best. She knows everyone.

There are highs and lows. The highlights are the friendly yet not too attentive service. Our server was more concerned with a larger party in the back of the room where my party of 2 wasn’t offered a refill of coffee or anything. The food was decent and the price has to be considered. They accept cash only. So perhaps there’s better. This place just wasn’t what I expected.

Dawn’s is your traditional small town breakfast/lunch spot. It’s exactly what you’d think it would be. Not flashy, not expensive, not ritzy, just a warm and cozy restaurant with home cooked meals and friendly service. It reminds me exactly of those little cafe’s in small town New England that have the local flavor.
