Decent place to hang out and knock back a few cold ones after work. Pretty good food too. Back in the day, the owner was a cantankerous little old man who was rude to customers and kicked people out for no reason worthy of the name. But that was over 30 years ago. I imagine he’s gone now.

I used to come here often for years. A few months ago, two armed men attempted to carjack me at the light right by this establishment on my way to work one morning. I stopped by the store to ask if their cameras captured that intersection because the police were not supportive in conducting an investigation. One of the men working in the liquor store claimed the owner was in the back on a call. I waited for 20-30 minutes to speak to him. I’m fairly certain he was simply avoiding me. I left my number and was assured he would call me. Of course he didn’t. I haven’t spent a dime there since and will not support a neighborhood establishment that doesn’t support the neighborhood.

It’s like Cheers. The folks are friendly, prices are good, food is delicious, one of the bartenders suck but the other one is great! However, customers can get rather rowdy, but the bar area can fill up rather fast during football.

This used to be a decent fun place to go to for a drink a hang out spot. The waiters in there now (pale ones) act like they doin u a favor getting u a drink. This is a shot house, nothing more. A bunch of bougie hood women looking for a free drink mostly. As far as the staff goes-One thing i won’t do is beg and wait 20 minutes for a drink in southern MD. RIP sunnybrook, I’m out
