Straightforward takeaway for homestyle cooking, including wings, grills, ribs & shrimp.

5 Stars — Amazing Food and Service!
Trick Daddy’s restaurant in Miami was outstanding! I tried the fried red snapper, fried ribs, and deep fried Cornish hen — everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The Paradise and Blue Lemonade drinks were refreshing, and the banana pudding was the perfect dessert.
Customer service was excellent. Daysha greeted everyone with kindness and professionalism, and the other Daysha made sure our orders were prepared perfectly. The restaurant was very clean, and I can’t wait to come back!
Highly recommend!

I’m visiting Miami and decided to try Sundays Eatery in Miami Gardens. The food was absolutely incredible and packed with rich, comforting, soulful flavor. I ordered the fried chicken wings with yellow rice, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, and yams. Every side tasted homemade and unforgettable. The collard greens were seasoned beautifully and cooked to perfection. The macaroni and cheese was flavorful, and incredibly delicious. The yams were sweet, tender, and truly mouthwatering.
The banana pudding had a classic, creamy pudding texture. I didn’t taste any actual bananas, but it was still enjoyable. The sweet tea was exactly how I love it, sugary and refreshing.
The portions were very generous. One plate is honestly enough for two people, so you definitely get your money’s worth.
The only thing that didn’t stand out for me was the fried chicken. It tasted either old or overcooked and was a bit dry. However, my sister ordered the snapper and the smothered pork chops, and both were incredibly flavorful, juicy, and cooked perfectly.
Customer service was amazing. The young ladies working the front were friendly, warm, and patient, answering all of our questions with genuine smiles. Sundays Eatery is definitely a place I would return to, and next time I’m excited to try even more of their delicious dishes.

I was in town and really looked forward to this. Don’t get me wrong everything had flavor and was pretty good as far as flavor and taste, but this food was old and the green beans were canned. The turkey in the green beans was so overcooked and dry the bones had shredded. The rice was hard and old. The fried ribs were pretty good and fresh but barely any meat on them. The cornbread would have been good if it wasn’t hard as a rock. I’m really sad about this

This spot’s alright. I feel like the staff are really trying their best. They tell everyone 15-20 minutes for their order, even though they know you’re gonna be chilling there for an hour. I got the catfish dinner with shrimp fried rice, green beans, and blue Kool-Aid. After 45 minutes, they called my name to say they were out of shrimp fried rice. They offered me peas n rice or yellow rice. I said peas n rice. After another 15-20 minutes, my order was finally ready… with yellow rice instead of peas n rice. No way I was gonna complain then. At that point, you just grab it and go. The fish was perfectly fried. Everything needed a little salt and pepper, but it was pretty good overall. My buddy had the Shrimp and Fries. It was pretty good as well. If you’ve got time (at least an hour), stop by and check them out.

We visited Sunday’s Eatery in Broward, and the first thing to know is that this place is small and very takeout-focused. Parking is limited I’d say maybe 10 spots max and the drive-through is tight enough that if it gets busy, cars can start backing into the street. Inside is also pretty small, with only about four tables and a small bench for waiting. It’s definitely more of a “grab your food and go” kind of spot rather than a sit-down-and-stay-awhile place. The line can easily stretch toward the door when it’s busy. I’m not sure if there was additional seating anywhere else.
What we ordered:
• Catfish dinners
• Blue lemonade
• Banana pudding (regular and blue)
My catfish dinner came with two good-sized pieces of fried catfish crispy on the outside, flaky on the inside, and well-seasoned. That part was definitely a win.
The mac and cheese was okay not bad, but not standout. It actually tasted better the next day after reheating.
The yellow rice was a little dry and firm at first, but also improved after warming it up later.
The cornbread muffin was sweet, soft, and really nice I enjoyed that a lot.
The blue lemonade was very sweet, Kool-Aid style, with a little tang if you like sweet drinks, you’ll probably enjoy it.
We waited about 25–30 minutes for our food, which wasn’t terrible, but worth noting.
Banana pudding:
This was the only real letdown for us. It was very whipped and light, with not much banana flavor. The blue version tasted basically the same just blue. We were expecting something richer and more banana-forward, so this one didn’t hit for us.
Overall:
This is a solid soul food plate spot. Nothing we had was bad, and you’re not going to leave unhappy. If you’re a decent cook It’s more like a dependable “I don’t feel like cooking tonight” kind of place than a “we HAVE to come back here” spot.
If I lived nearby, I’d definitely keep it on my list for easy takeout especially for the fried fish and cornbread. Just don’t expect a big, comfortable dine-in experience, and you’ll probably enjoy it for what it is.

Back again this is my 2nd time trying food at Sunday Eatery in Miami and let me tell you the fried ribs were AMAZING. I’ve never had ribs fried like this before, and they were crispy, seasoned perfectly, and still juicy inside. (Taste like pork chops)
The sides are always on point too everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. This spot is definitely a must try if you’re in Miami and love good soul food.
9/10 would go back

I ate here two days in a row. The smothered pork chops were really good, and so was the mac & cheese. I tried both the yellow rice and rice & peas; the rice & peas was my favorite. I also tried the baked turkey wings, which were good, but I wish I had some gravy to go with them. The green beans were good too.

I was in Florida because I took a cruise out of Miami and I had 1 day of free time before my departure flight. I already knew I wanted to try one of Trick Daddy’s restaurant due to seeing all the hype on social media and let me tell u babeeee it did not disappoint. Now I will say if you are in a hurry or you aren’t a patient individual then this restaurant ain’t for you lbvs. I went mid afternoon on a Monday and it was still packed with standing room only. The young lady at the register was super friendly and offered suggestions since it was my 1st time. It took maybe like 30 mins or so to get my order which I was ok with since my food came out hot and fresh. The ribs were tender and seasoned very well, greens were good, sweet potatoes were good but a little sweeter than I prefer, cornbread was ok, but the star of the show for me was that rice, it was sooooo good lol. The inside is super small but I was lucky enough to snag a seat so I could enjoy all that goodness right there. I thought the prices were surprisingly super fair especially for the portions I received. 10/10 will visit again

I was told that this food was so good but was very disappointed. I ordered fried ribs, collard greens, with peas and rice it came with a cornbread muffin and I ordered Mac and cheese on the side which was a half of a spoon for $8.00 this food is so over priced for the food portion size . I will not recommend to anyone the food was soooo salty if you want diabetes or high blood pressure this food will give it to you over seasoned oh I will not be coming back the cornbread was a mini muffin size they gave me four ribs (nothing fancy taste like pork chops SALTY) with no sauce you have to ask for it warning for first time visitors! Collard greens (SALTY) and soggy don’t seem fresh the rice (don’t know what’s missing just was not right ) Mac and cheese (taste like noodles and cheese) nothing fancy or wow at all go back to the drawing board Trick ! He trick me for real !

Trick Daddy we can’t LIE…. Yo FOOD was FYE . The customer service was amazing. The young ladies greeted everyone coming through the door and they explained the different rice options when I asked. You need to bring your restaurant to CHICAGO . Me & my family were not disappointed at all. When we come back to visit we defintely will be BACK….
