Good food. Good service. They have a great selection of sushi rolls. On their happy hour, you can get 20-50% off certain rolls and drinks before 6PM.

I had a seriously wonderful experience at Sumo! The sushi chef was amazing and made me two chef special rolls (aka he surprised me!) that were gluten free & both were crazy delicious with great flavor balance and sauces. Our server was fantastic, she was super friendly and helpful! And all at a reasonable price.

Very friendly, laid back atmosphere. Everyone was very professional, we were greeted by the owner, the servers were wonderful, and the food. . . Oh my goodness! SO good! Between the steak hibachi lunch and the 007 roll, I could not be happier! I have had sushi all over, I’m glad to finally have a good sushi place close to home. I will definitely be going back!

We used to go when it was mt fuji and such a huge improvement with SUMO. The staff was so pleasant and they were great to my kids. The food was good as always. We had sushi to and would definitely buy more sushi in the future. We love it because it is a neighborhood gem not a chain.

Drove 50miles to Maple Grove to try a different sushi place then the place i usualy go to in my home town. It’s been 5 hrs since I left Sumo and I CAN’T stop thinking about how delicious all 3 types of sushi rolls I tried were. It was SO GOOD! I will be making the 50mile drive again.

Came in for lunch, fish was not fresh, one piece of sushi tasted very fishy. Got food poisoning lasting days. Overall the food was bad. Big weird blocky chunks of sashimi, poorly made rolls. Service was not very good either.

Horrible service. We had to ask multiple times for things we ordered. The group who sat at our table had ordered gluten free, which would be cooked in the back. Bills were brought out and she still didn’t receive her meal (after complaining several times).
