I love a good independent burger restaurant. I’ve only been here once, and honestly the burger wasn’t as good as I’d expect for a place that focuses on burgers, and the fries were a little plain. Also the sauce wasn’t my thing, and it had chunks in it. The inside is nice and welcoming with interesting decor. I’d definitely go back and give it anither chance if I’m in the area.

My husband is from around Chillicothe and anytime we’re down this way we HAVE to stop at Sumburger! Miss the Bridge st location because of the car hops but the food is still very delicious !

I am devastated to see that this place has gone drastically downhill. The sauce (my favorite part) was very sweet. I ordered a regular Sumburger and my sister got a Junior – our burgers were the exact same size, I just had a bigger bun. I had to go hunt someone down just for napkins, and they were very stingy with them. There was a huge sign out front about them not having ice cream right now, but it was a professional sign (not hand written)? So they just don’t have it anymore? And the music was so loud that we had to scream at each other. The only decent thing was the fries. I will absolutely not be coming back, total waste of money.

As I had never eaten there before but had seen signs for it for the last we’ll say 30 years…. I didn’t know what to expect. We went to the drive-thru we place an order for two sum burgers and two large onion onion rings. The lady told us it was going to be about 30 minutes. Wow really??? There’s a real problem if that’s how long it’s going to take. Needless to say it didn’t. But when we pulled back up to get our order it’s like the girl had amnesia. She didn’t remember we ordered much less realized the order was ready though she had to have rang the buzzer SHE gave us. Not sure what they were smoking inside but you can best believe it wasn’t our hamburgers

The food is usually pretty good its either the burgers are awesome and the fries are over fried or fries excellent and the burger dry. I have noticed it’s taking longer to get your food and it’s never busy or crowded. The staff is always friendly. It is not as good as the original place on bridge street but it’s still good.

Very clean restaurant. Friendly and fast service. Being a Burger place I guess I expected more from their burgers. Yes they are ok. Nothing to write home about. I feel that when you spend $9 on just a burger then it should taste like a $9 burger. Their burgers fall short. Also the fries are nasty.

Our experience was fine until I was about 3 bites away from finishing my burger when I went to take some of the sauce off my burger and seen a FLY this was after I picked a hair out of my 3 year Olds fries. The DM was there when I took my food up to her to show her the the more I thought about almost eating it the more sick I felt. I had to run to the restroom and ended up in the men’s room puking up everything I had just eaten!!!! I threw up so much and so hard my eyes were blood shot my face was red my throat is raw and my back hurt so BAD I was crying all the way home!! (I’ve had 2 back surgeries and have to have another one, I’m 6 months out of the last surgery) then the DM didn’t belive me when I told her I spent $40.19 to eat there with my 3 young boys!!(she was only going to give me $27 back and a free meal coupon) So I had to get the recipt out of the trash and show her my bank account to prove it to her. She was so rude and lacked empathy about this traumatic experience at her restaurant!!!! She did end up giving me back my $$ but the lack of care was appalling!!!! Sumburger used to be by favorite place to eat at in Chillicothe and bc of this experience We will NEVER be back!!! I requested a call from the owner so we will see if that happens or not.

I absolutely love Sumburger! I had been going to the other location ever since I was a kid and was devastated when it closed down. I’m really happy to say this location is just as good as the other! The food is so good!! And the staff is so friendly and helpful!

Miss the old Sumburger. The food tastes a little different and the atmosphere made the experience. Wish they’d move back to a Bridge St location, it always seems empty when I go.

This place claimed to be a local tradition. Often times those can be pretty disappointing. This place was pretty alright. The service was fantastic. The burger itself was accurately priced. I would have been disappointed were it more costly, though thrilled if it was cheaper. I only touched a portion of the menu, so there may be things I was missing that a local could have clued me into, but for travelers it is definitely worth the extra two bucks to eat here over some chain.
