We had the Butter Chicken. It was a delicious mix of sauce and tender chicken cooked to perfection. The presentation was very nice. I ordered # 5 in hot sauce, it came with a bite. The garlic naan was incredibly crispy, made in house. Serving were large enough for a take out bag. The atmosphere was very quiet with traditional Indian music. The decor very simple but elegant. Our servers were very attentive and nice.

We were visiting from Thunder Bay, Ontario, and came across this lovely Indian restaurant during our trip. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, with a decent vibe that made us feel right at home. Prices were reasonable, and the food was absolutely delicious.
The dal makhani and mushroom pyaza were standout dishes — rich in flavor and perfectly cooked. The service was also excellent; the staff were attentive and friendly throughout our meal.
I would definitely visit again and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine!

If you are travelling to Sault Ste. Marie and really craving an Indian restaurant and wondering how will you find one there knowing the geography you will be surprised to find Sukhdev Restaurant.
This small nice restaurant will calm you craving, we ordered the butter chicken and Naan.
Butter chicken tasted really creamy and in perfect spices, interestingly the naan was fluffy and went so good with chicken.
I would like to tell that my judgement of Indian restaurant comes from how good their naan is, anything else can be cooked but naan is work of art. So this place does stand out on it.
Now things they can improve, even though the place wasn’t too busy waiting on the table is kinda boring, plus even waiting on cheque to pay.

I recently visited Sukhdev Restaurant and tried their Chicken Biryani. The dish was well cooked, and presented nicely. The restaurant maintains a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff were courteous and attentive throughout my visit. However, parking can be a bit challenging since there isn’t much dedicated space available nearby. Fortunately, I was able to find parking on the street without too much difficulty.

The food was pretty good, but very spicy even though we ordered mild spice. The service could have been better- appetizers came out at the same time as our meal and then the waiter said that most of our meal items were appetizers…. We ordered kabab from the main dish side and added naan separately to eat it with, but the kabab came first without naan and it was said to be the appetizer. They also gave us complimentary rice pudding for mothers day. The atmosphere was fine, just the music in the background was blaring really loud.

I ordered just 2 samosas from Sukhdev and they were absolutely disgusting. They were dripping with oil — completely inedible. I couldn’t even finish one and now I’m feeling sick and nauseous because of how greasy they were. Even after 2 cover for bag my trouser was full of oil. If this is the quality they’re serving, they seriously need to fix their kitchen standards. Total waste of money and a horrible experience.

I ordered from Sukhdev and spent $17, but I am really disappointed with what I received. The curd portion was less than half a cup and it didn’t even cover the food properly (pictures attached). For the price, I expected a decent portion and better quality. Honestly, this was the worst decision I made to order from here.

Had an amazing dining experience at Sukhdev Restaurant! The service was outstanding — the staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly welcomed.
We ordered Palak Paneer, and it was simply perfect — the paneer was soft and just melted in the mouth. The Baingan Bharta had a deep, smoky flavor with beautifully roasted eggplant, and the Mushroom Rice was full of flavor and cooked to perfection.
We also had Butter Naan and Roti, both served fresh, warm, and with excellent texture and taste.
Top-notch food and excellent customer service — highly recommend this place!
