Social Profile:

Blue Ash airfield was one of the first in operation in the United States, and it became Ohio’s first municipal airport when Cincinnati purchased it in 1946. For decades, it was eyed as a potential future site for Cincinnati’s primary commercial airport, spurring construction of Cross County Highway, but efforts to develop the site repeatedly failed. In 2017, Cincinnati sold the remaining land and runway to Al. Neyer, which is building a mixed-use development on the site, part of which is The Approach at Summit Park; home of the third Sugar N’ Spice Diner opened January 2023.

We have been to the other 2 locations and were excited to try out this new spot in Summit Park! We came for breakfast on a Saturday around 11 am, and the wait was 45 minutes to be seated. Once seated, we waited quite some time before our server came over to us. We went ahead and placed our order for our food along with our drinks. She then went to the 3 tables seated after us and took all of their orders as well. We were seated for over 20 minutes before we even got a drink.

Fun atmosphere and good service. We went around 11:00 on a Saturday and were seated within 10 minutes. However the wait for our food was rather long, but they were busy. Food was good for the price. Great coffee. Loved the free rubber ducky idea!

I’m always hesitant when ordering a steak anywhere other than a steakhouse. With that said, I will definitely order another steak and eggs from here. It came out as a perfect medium as well as the over medium eggs. So, please stop by and try it.

The place is super cute with a retro vibe. We sat at the counter and their seats at the counter were really comfortable. Everyone gets a rubber ducky. I had the Breakfast Special with French toast, scrambled eggs, and bacon. My husband had the Breakfast Platter with scrambled eggs, toast, home fries, and goetta. He added a side of biscuit and gravy. The things we loved was the french toast, the home fries were delicious, the bacon and goetta. The biscuit was hard and not very good. The gravy was mehh. The scrambled eggs were awful! We’re not super hard to please, but eww. First bite tasted ok but then that bite had a very off tasting plastic taste or something. It was not pleasant. I tried my husband’s and his was the same way. He agreed that he didn’t want to eat them. They were possibly powdered eggs. Some egg had fallen on the table and when I wiped it up it was granular and not egg like. Maybe if you order them as sunny side up or something like that where you can see that they’re really eggs, then do that. I get it that eggs are crazy expensive, but avoid the scrambled eggs. The server was nice, the place was clean, and the atmosphere was awesome. We won’t be going back, but it was fun to try a new place and then walk around the park.

Blue Ash location of a Cincinnati favorite. The newly open Sugar N’ Spice is located within Summit Park. Decor is bright and happy, employees are friendly, attentive, and helpful. The menu offers what you would expect of a breakfast/lunch diner featuring the wispy thin pancakes. Expect a wait but the food is great, prices are lower than surrounding breakfast places, and you get to pick a duck with your check.

We loved Miss Shaun (hope we spelled her new right). She was patient with my kids and I as we introduced ourselves to the new location. The space is massive. The atmosphere is wonderful. I absolutely love the older look and diner type aesthetic. For my kids first time the ducks were a huge hit. Cannot wait to come back with family and friends.

I am so glad we stopped in to Sugar N’ Spice in Blue Ash. The perfect eggs benedict is what I have been searching for. It has been found! The French toast, I was not expecting that wonderfulness! Potatoes were season and cooked perfectly!

Today was our first time visiting this location in Blue Ash. Tobias G. was our server and he was outstanding! He was attentive and we appreciated the superb service he provided. The food was great and hot when we received it at our table. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend this Sugar n’ Spice.

Sunday is not the day to go for brunch! There was a wait to be seated with a number of tables open. Then the service was hurried and sloppy. Our waiter never checked on us and then when we finally flagged them down, they couldn’t get our drink refills right. The food was ok. I get that there needs to be a gap in seating in order to not overwhelm the servers. But at the very least during that time people could be cleaning. The place is filthy which doesn’t make me want to eat the food. Waffle House does a much better job. If I want pancakes I will just go there.
