absolutely gorgeous. amazing frosting work, and also so moist. the taste was amazing as well! its just completely perfect!!! i wanted something cute for my 17th birthday since i’d never had a professionally made cake before, and i’m gonna be honest here… i did cry!!! i love it so much, thank you for putting this together♥️

Our entire family loves going to Sugar Grinders in Franklinton. Everything we’ve tried has been absolutely delicious, from the sweet treats to the ice cream. I also took a cookie decorating class here, and it was wonderful—I learned so much and had a great time. The atmosphere is always friendly and happy, which makes the experience even better. A truly delightful place with amazing treats!

UPDATE: I went back again… OH MY GOODNESS!!! The brown sugar pound cake… (fake faint) was so delicious that I turned around and purchased more before I left the bakery. This mommy & daughter dynamic duo are awesome!!! I’m definitely returning. Especially with the holidays coming up. I can’t wait to see what flavors they have. RUN TO THIS BAKERY & try some of everything!!!
1st visit: I love this bakery. The staff was very helpful & attentive. Gave recommendations on the cookies, etc. She showed us pics of cakes & cupcakes that she designed. The cookies were delicious. My grandson enjoyed the ice cream. I can’t wait to go back & try their toffee cookies & some pound cake.

The food looked great, the peach cobbler pound cake was a 4/10 I doubt I’d get it again. The cookies looked like a real winner though. The service was less than decent. The lady behind the counter was kind of short tempered and short spoken. No upsell or assistance offered. I asked myself how the peach cobbler pound cake was and got a shoulder shrug and it’s good for a reply. I wanted to look into more items but I also didn’t have time to continue inquiring with an already irritated employee. I respect my elders so I just let it go, bought the slice and slid on my way. I’ll probably not go back but I like the idea and hope I just had a one off experience.

Bought 1 piece pecan pie & 1 piece lemon bundt cake….pecan pie was best I’ve ever had with exception of my mother’s! Crust was exceptional & filling was perfect combo of buttery, sweet & rich pecan flavor – I’ll definetely buy it again! Lemon bundle cake was disappointing…slightly dry, almost stale & very, very bland. If it had not been yellow in color; you’d never guess it was suppose to be lemon flavored. I have to say experience was surprising because lemon bundt cake is relatively easy to make & really good pecan pie is rare! So recommend getting 2 pieces of pie & skipping the bundt cake!

Cute bakery and ice cream shop in Franklinton. Everyone was so nice and helpful even though they were super busy. I had the rainbow sherbert, and I am not sure what brand it is, but it was the best I have ever had. My daughter had the cookies and cream. They also had plenty of cookies for sale, cheesecake, and banana pudding, which I hear is amazing!

My wife and I stopped in here today and what a wonderful surprise! With a name like Sugar Grinders you know there’s going to be a lot of tasty treats. The selection of cookies, cakes, ice cream, and other sweets is amazing!
We had a nice visit with Charlena, the owner. She took the time to tell us about her journey to open the shop. You can tell the passion she has for baking when you talk to her.

Very underrated bakery. It has ice cream, cookies, cakes, cheese cakes, cupcakes, pies, etc. And milkshakes and everything. They even serve hotdogs as well. It looks quite fancy from inside and it’s nice and quiet. The address is 2 South Main Street Franklinton North Carolina. Once again, it’s a super cool bakery and I highly recommend it.
