Took my rating from 4 down to 1 because the girls that were there on March 30, 2023 were very rude. No one greeted us and as we were trying to decide what to order one of them began impatiently tapping her fingers on the counter. I felt very unwelcomed and left the Ansonia location. Very rude.

I just got out of the Hospital and gave my son a Coupon to get a few sandwiches. First. They didn’t honor the paper Coupon (found on the web the same coupon….AFTER). Not even a combo n when I asked to see if the combo was cheaper I had to pay for the drink separately I will never go to another subway again! I waited about a half hour to order and all because this awesome lady Ennid got swamped last minute with like 10 people while still training. All by herself I was very impressed. The owner needs to rethink his strategy because it was 100% wrong not to give her help. For the record I lost my appetite because of it but she made a great sandwich with a great attitude. We ordered 2 sandwiches online and had an ema receipt with both an order # and payment approval #. My husband went to pickup the sandwiches and was told they didn’t have the order. The young woman working called the store manager, who said this “rarely” happens but it didn’t go thru and they refused to honor our receipt and we had to re-pay if we wanted sandwiches. He said we’d also have to contact our bank for a refund on the first order. My husband said that that wasn’t right and they should honor the receipt and make the sandwiches we clearly paid for. The employee refused to give us the managers name for follow-up and both parties refused us the food or a refund, amongst being rude and disrespectful. This is some of the poorest customer service I’ve EVER received in my life. We will NEVER go back there again. The right thing would’ve been to make the sandwiches based on the receipt and IF on the offchance it was an error, eat the $18 because that’s how you keep customers returning. They must be a very wealthy store to turn away business in this economy. This may be a franchise, but Subway should have a better handle on their stores. Shame on everyone involved.

Very nice, clean, cozy, and warm. Plenty of tables, chairs, and they have a leatherd bench style sofa along the sidewall. The music gave more of a up beat atmosphere. It was tune in to the local popular station. The food was fresh, vegetables and meat. Not stale or slimy. The Italian bread was also fresh, just right, not soggy or rubbery. Every bite was delicious. They have a new item on the menu, I can’t remember the exact name, but it has garlic bread and cheese. Plenty of cold drink selections. The bathroom is big, enough room for handicap access, brightly lit, cleanly well maintained, stocked, no smell and everything worked. They have a small parking lot and it gets full fast. Good experience for me that day, getting out of the cold and into the cozy, warm, and fresh food.

The changes Subway made are NOT reflected at this location… Spent quite a bit of money on a FOOTLONG that lacked MEAT, looked like a grilled 10 dollar cheese sandwich, meaning you had to separate the bread to see the fillings.. This was not worth it at all.. Money is better spent at Jersey Mike’s for the same price you get a bigger sub, better quality, and fresher ingredients!
