Forget reading more reviews and book a reservation! This place is cozy with intimacy and the food is delicious with pops of flavors that make you look for more. We can in looking for a nice meal, but left with a new favorite restaurant to this area that we will come back to for sure. Family run with lots of smiles and kindness to help navigate the menu. The menu changes weekly and is farm based with great vegetarian options. We would highly recommend this place and get lots of things to share so all can experience the flavors together, because life is more fun when shared.

This is the epitome of a hidden gem., a small intimate space with an open kitchen, great service and an incredible chef. You walk through a narrow enclosed alley with a couple of “outdoor” tables before arriving at the entrance. It is not loud and you don’t sit on top of the other diners. You can actually carry on a conversation while watching the chef do his amazing work. We had the whole red snapper and it was the best whole fish we ever had…large, beautifully seasoned and perfectly cooked…exactly the way it should be…and it fed three of us. W also had the tasty fresh beet salad with a yogurt sauce…great…and sour dough bread with olive oil . This place is not fancy…it’s very comfortable and laid back . It reminded us of a small European restaurant. Highly recommended as are reservations.

Yum!! The food was unreal, really tasty, really fresh ingredients – I think it was the butternut salad, which one would think would be boring, but it was the complete opposite, bursting with flavor flav. Everything was great, the service was beautiful, super friendly and made you feel like you’re a family member! LOVED IT

Fantastic little spot in downtown Petaluma.
Very small and cozy place that seats maybe 15 people. Definitely need to make a reservation before coming but once you do you won’t regret it.
Menu seems to change on a weekly basis but everything we had was so delicious. Be aware that if you get one of the later seatings (ours was at 8:30pm), they may be out of some items. A couple of their on-menu items were out for the night by the time we were seated as well as an additional off-menu special item, so just be aware that if one particular item catches your eye it MAY be out if you are one of the last seatings. But regardless, the food we DID have was phenomenal. The steak and scallops were perfectly cooked and the sauces that came with it paired perfectly with the meals. We got one of the desserts as well and it was good but very simple when compared to how good the dinner itself was.
Service was perfectly acceptable. Also they primarily have wine with a couple beers, but no liquor, just FYI.
Overall, loved this place and would definitely go back next time I’m in town.

So disappointed! Our waitress was lukewarm from the get-go…Our table had room for 2 people, but we were 3 so one of us sat in the chair located in the thorough-fare. There was a photo/filming of something upstairs (why would you schedule this during supper??) with a baby who cried for 45 minutes…We listened, and waited for 15 minutes for our drinks..yes, service was a bit slow and the food was okay…not bad, for sure, but some of it served warm rather than hot. The ceasar salad was terrific!

Got home to take a look at the receipt only to find we had been overcharged for our wine. Hmmm.

I feel a bit sad to leave this review as I recognize the dream of the couple and the hard work it takes to have a restaurant while raising young children. But, for the price of supper and the really unpleasant environment (waitress and crying baby from the photo shoot), mildly good food…Others should be aware it is hit or miss to have a good experience and with so many terrific options in Sonoma County, it is important to be informed.

This place is amazing. I’m surprised to see other people have a problem with the restaurants portions/menu size in their reviews. Main dish menu is perfect and all the dishes are cooked to perfection. Excellent date night place. The quality of the food itself is amazing, that’s why it might be more expensive than othe restaurants. I even think they could rightfully charge a few dollars more for the filet and still be in line with other restaurants of the same caliber.

I would encourage people to see the food here as an experience. If you want massive portions for $20 or less, just don’t go here. If you want to treat yourself to culinary art, go here.

I will definitely be back when our family visits from out of town. Thank you for the great food!

Phenomenal experience, next level service, highly curated nuances of every dish. This establishment puts care and attention into every aspect from start to finish. Definitely make your reservations here! A true Gem in Sonoma county. Their menu changes every week to truly showcase the microseasons of our blessed county, so one can never tire of their menu. The menu is small but mighty so the chefs can truly hone in on every dish and nothing gets lost from prep to table.
Cannot rave highly enough!

Small, but charming restaurant with evolving farm to table menu. TRY the olives if they are on menu, try the heirloom tomatoes with burrata….the flavor will be one of citrus nodes you had not had before. Love the way they offer dishes here, limited…but with great variety in flavors.

Every bite was an explosion of flavor. Had a magical evening. The “patio” atmosphere could use some help but overall would come back for the food every night if I could.

Locally owned, locally sourced, flavorful, outstanding! Went with friends to this lovely restaurant where we were seated in a beautiful, stone hallway. What makes this restaurant so unique is that it adds spices to dishes you never would have out together. The piri piri shrimp with watermelon, watercress and crushed peanuts was amazing! I had chicken confit with an incredible blend of flavors. But the dessert of butterscotch creme brulè with cream whip topping…I didn’t share much of it! Top notch with a great wine pairing selection. Highly recommend!
