Very enjoyable first visit for lunch. Started with fantastic fresh chicken noodle soup (hot, not salty). We had the Thanksgiving turkey sandwich, and a fresh turkey sandwich on a in house baked baguette. Both fresh and delicious…not deli turkey, this was fresh carved. Everything was perfect, food service and atmosphere, girls were fast and amazing, maybe the only thing that I saw and didn’t like it, is that only those 2 girls are in charge of taking and preparing orders, in a place with so many tables, they should hire or send help on peak hours, I’ve been in that position before, you have to be in a full shift to understand how this is too much, while other positions are light in comparison, well that is my observation as a customer that stayed for 2 hours. This is my wife and I’s third time here and it always goes above and beyond expectations. We often joke we are lucky we don’t live closer otherwise we would always be broke from buying all the delicious goodies. By far so of the best hot chocolate around. The bakery goodie’s are phenomenal. This was the first time we got meals instead of just desserts. Highly highly recommend. We will be back and when family visits we are bringing them here.

So the “ella” sandwich which is at the top was amazing! 10/10 however my quesadilla was grilled chicken and cheese, it tasted more of cheese I’d say like 70% to 30%. But the Pico de gallo, avocado and red salsa was delicious and I preferred it with that. I rated (WITH the condiments 7/10- pico de gallo doing the heavy lifting here). Service was excellent though, friendly staff and very fast.

I came to Hopkins (Green spring Station) for an early morning appointment. I stopped to get a cup of coffee. Let me say that Stone Mill is the absolute best Cafe/Bakery in area! Everyone, and I mean everyone, is so nice and professional. The food is good, always freshly prepared, and delicious. Today I decided to try the cherry pie. Best choice I made today. The pie is sooo good. The cherries have a distinct flavor that sets them apart from other cherry pies I’ve had in the past. The pastry is flaky and does not disappoint the palette.The portion is more than enough to share. As far as the cafe, it’s a wonderful atmosphere to have early morning coffee with friends and/or pull out the laptops to get some time in. Either way, I’ll be back!!!

First time here. Was excited to treat myself after a good medical visit.
The price of croissant was $5.95 plus tax and didn’t look freshly back (deflated looking). I rarely get to have fresh croissants due to diet so I look forward to when I can. I paused and thought let’s try a brownie. When I got home and tested – this is one of the worst brownies I have ever tasted. It’s really dry (as you can tell by the photo) and tasteless. I don’t even want another bite.
Disappointing. The place did have a decent atmosphere and seemed welcoming if you were sitting down but service at the cashier was like NEXT to hurry you through. No smiles or recommendations if someone is looking hesitant.
Personally I am not interested in coming back.
Just being honest.
P.S. the brownie could use real chocolate to make it better

We stopped in while on our way to Virginia. We were very impressed with this place. The place is deceptively large. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is inside seating as well as a nice shaded outdoor place. The food and coffee were excellent! We had a couple of bakery items, egg sandwiches, and dark chocolate mochas. Everything was delicious! We would certainly return.

My favorite cafe in the world. I’ve been coming here for 30 years and it feels like home. Chris, Allie and the Himmelrichs and all of the staff make you feel like you’re walking into your parents kitchen. Nothing compares to the wraps and salads, the cookies and lemon bars, I can’t find anything comparable in nyc, where I now live. Their soda machine is sooo carbonated and I love their various coffee drinks. Stonemill for breakfast lunch and dinner. Love my stonemill fam.
