Coffee spot!
Ambiance: Upon walking in, you see a beautifully modernized decorated cafe with classical music at a moderate level. Spacious with beautiful tables and the smell of fresh coffee and bagels. Definitely an instagram worthy spot with booths all equipped with outlets and the window seats also have ports for chargers as well. Even when theres a bit of a crowd the noise is still at a good level to hold phone call meetings privately!
Food: A solid range of menu items whether you’re someone who wants a savory breakfast, they offer fresh omelettes, breakfast sandwiches and bagels with various cream cheese! For the sweet breakfast, they offer so many different pastries fresh from the oven! I opted for a toasted bagels with cream cheese because I’m a sucker for a good jersey bagel !
Drinks are the same with variety, from Americanos to smoothies to matcha lattes. Something for everyone is an understatement! I got the matcha latte.
Service: I showed up when it wasn’t busy so everything was made for me very fast and served very fast! The staff members greeted you with a smile and everyone was very nice when serving and collecting my plate when I was finished. I love finding cafes to work from with the music at a regular volume because it’s hard to make some calls with music blasting. They also play classical music which is actually quite helpful for focus with some! (Yes I am that “some”) . All in all I will make this a regular spot! Plenty of street parking too! Cafe prices here are standard. I spent ten dollars for my medium latte and bagel
Tons of open seating.
Lots of pastry selection and macarons also.
Only downfall is that it smells very off inside. It isn’t a rotting smell, but like a ton of cheap air freshener mixed with something so I couldn’t work inside.
This cafe is not child friendly, there were no high chairs or any other seating appropriate for little ones except the long bench.
The only comfortable place to sit is the long bench along the one wall, all the other chairs are either very small and the chairs with arms are also very small and hurt my thighs when I sat down.
I ordered a caramel iced coffee with almond milk with extra caramel. The coffee tasted like water. It had no flavor at all. I asked for a different drink and instead of just making me a new drink, I had to walk him through what to do to make a drink that would have some coffee and caramel flavor in it. Instead of making me a new drink he took the watered down drink added a shot of espresso more caramel and more milk and CHARGED me EXTRA for the espresso!!!
I also ordered a BLT wrap. The tortilla was cold, like they didn’t warm it up at all, there was only 2 tiny piece of bacon, 2 little slices of tomato and an abundance of what I think was lettuce but also looked a bit like spinach.
1/5 Stars will never be going back
First, the seating is uncomfortable. The chairs are a bit loose and wobbly, which is not only unsafe but also makes it difficult to sit for long periods. The tables are also too high for the chairs, so unless you’re sitting on the booth couch, you’ll be uncomfortable for a while.
Second, the music is too loud. I don’t mind the playlist, but it’s way too loud for people who are trying to work. Even with headphones on, the music can be distracting.
Those are my only two real issues with the place. The menu is a bit pricey, but that’s understandable considering the quality of the food. The Parker sandwich is my favorite, and the juices are really good. Overall, I still recommend this place, but I hope they address these issues in the future.
Moreover, the cafe’s cozy and inviting interior makes it a perfect spot for a variety of occasions. Whether you’re looking to catch up with friends, delve into a good book, or simply enjoy some quiet time alone, Steven’s Cafe provides the ideal setting. The staff’s friendly and attentive service adds to the overall warm and welcoming vibe. They genuinely care about your experience, ensuring that each visit is memorable.
Steven’s Cafe also offers a variety of pastries and light bites, which are as exquisite as their coffees. These treats are the perfect complement to their beverages, making for a satisfying and indulgent visit. The cafe’s commitment to quality extends to every aspect of their offerings, from the coffee beans to the ingredients in their food items.
In conclusion, Steven’s Cafe is more than just a coffee shop; it’s a sanctuary where you can escape the hustle and bustle, enjoy exceptional coffee, and savor the moment. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a quiet, cozy spot with top-notch coffee and a welcoming atmosphere.
