One of the best places in Byron. Every item on the menu is insane. The quality of the food is always consistent, fresh and ridiculously delicious. The flavour profiles are so unique and well balanced. Same goes for the drinks menu. Unfortunately I haven’t tasted as many, as I can never go past the Tsukishima. One of the best drink creations I’ve ever had. The service is also great, very attentive, knowledgeable and super friendly. Couldn’t recommend more!

We live in Byron Bay and usually stick to our regular places, but on New Year’s Eve we decided to try something new and we were absolutely blown away. We both ordered the Tokyo Tasting Menu and loved every single course. Our personal favourites were:
Karaage Chicken, Prawn Dumplings, Yellow Fish Curry. My boyfriend almost never leaves a restaurant feeling truly full, but this time he was genuinely happy and satisfied. For drinks, I ordered the Kyoto Kiss mocktail, which was a bit too bitter for my taste. Next time I’ll try a different one. My partner’s cocktail, on the other hand, was excellent. Our drinks were initially forgotten and we had to remind the staff twice. As an apology, we were kindly offered oysters and ice cream mochi (mango & passionfruit). A very generous and thoughtful gesture, especially since the food and service had already impressed us so much. All of the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive and always smiling. The atmosphere is simple yet very cozy and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended.

Amazing food and great service from start to finish. The beef cheek was absolutely melting and incredibly tender — full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The salmon tartare was also very good, fresh and beautifully balanced. A really enjoyable experience all around.

Number 1 favourite place when visiting Byron. Food, service and vibe are all exceptional every time. We had the freshest sushi plates and most delish oysters. Highly recommend the eggplant too! Perfect balance between fine dining food quality and chilled post-beach cocktail atmosphere

Tokyo doll is one of my favourite restaurants in Byron, they have the most delicious Japanese food and the cocktails are outstanding! The bar and wait staff are always attentive and lovely. Highly recommend !

Food was lovely and the place looks cool with great vibes. As a girl i love a girly team, but doesnt mean the entire vibe of the restaurant has to be feminine (ie music) and female staff all chatting together. Its an evening restaurant with a lot of thought going into food and I get the weather is hot so staff want to be cool. But all the female staff were wearing anything and not much (short shorts, tank tops or bras and sports bras) while the chefs and the bar or male staff are wearing jeans, and tokyo doll tops or shirt. This doesnt seem professional and or cohesive.
