I really wanted to like this place. I had heard great things about it and the menu looked fantastic, but overall this place was really disappointing.

Good homestyle seafood. We ordered the rain row trout and salmon. Both come with either a soup or salad and bread. For sides you can get the mashed potatoes or rice. We got the Manhattan clam chowder which was good but needed more clams in it. The Cesar salad was good. It did not come with anchovies and the dressing did not drench or over power the lettuce. We both preferred the mashed potatoes because how can you go wrong with mashed potatoes. They were creamy and cheesy. The rice was tasty but can be forgotten over the mashed potatoes. It was a tie for us with both the trout and salmon. Both were tasty.

Service was excellent! My food (salmon fillet) was excellent, although others in my party weren’t as enthusiastic- the wild rice in particular wasn’t stunning. Our dining experience took two hours total – the food was a bit slow to come out. The lack of air conditioning was a huge negative – it was so hot that it was honestly uncomfortable to be here.

Nice atmosphere good food but the RAW lamb chops ruined it for me. Yes raw just as red as it came from butcher.

Holy!!!!! What an amazing place The ambience is very relaxing and cozy. Staff was incredible! They were crazy busy (that is usually a good sign) and to make things more challenging they were understaffed because some of the servers had weekend plans. But….. that didn’t change the incredibly memorable dining experience. The menu selection was excellent and it had many items I wanted to try. We had 3 in our party and were very hungry. The apps we ordered were so so good. Everything was fresh and had explosive flavor, OMG on the scallops!!! I need to make these at home. All the food had excellent presentation and was perfectly cooked. I would highly recommend this place and please make a reservation, they are busy A+

Delicious food with big portions! Was afraid it would leave me feeling hungry, but I was stuffed, since most entrees come with a large salad or soup beforehand. The sirloin steak, rainbow trout and lamb rack were delicious!

The main reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because it took ages to get each part of the meal. The food came out hot and tasted good, we stuck with seafood options and liked the taste of it all. The shrimp where kinda small for only getting 6 and the “side if steamed veggies” wasn’t all that great.. but we enjoyed our meal. It’s a pretty small place and got a bit loud when a table of 4 was sat next to us but that can be expected of a small restaurant. I’d recommend going for the sea food and not the land food lol.. from other reviews it may not be as great.

We went there 45 mins after opening on Wednesday 7/26/23. Just before opening I called about reservations. I asked the lady if we just show up in the next hour will there be a problem with us getting a table. She said it shouldn’t be a problem. We arrived just about 5:45pm. It took about 5 mins, but then we were seated. There was one lady, we suspected was the “hostess,” kept counting people and acting all confused. After about 10 minutes of us sitting there the waitress “Sarah” came and took our order, very nice, friendly. The place wasn’t very busy, maybe 6 tables of customers. About 35mins later, my salad, my wife’s cup of soup, and bread came from another waitress (whom we never saw again.) Sarah walked by me headed for the kitchen and I stopped her briefly, and said I’m sorry but I forgot to order coffee, she said no problem and whisked away. I think they had to make coffee, but I received mine about the time it finished brewing, which I was ok with that. We finished our salads and shortly afterwards the “hostess” asked if she could take those (our plates) I said “yes” and she grab the plates and bread and started to take off, I said “Hey! we’re not done with the bread” and she said “oh I thought you were leaving” Really!! Wow! Our food finely came, I ordered the Cancun Rib Eye, med rare. It was not very pink in the middle. By other reviews it seems the cook doesn’t know what rare, med rare, well done, are. I asked for a baked potato, they didn’t have any. WHAT! The middle of eating our main course, a reservation of six came in, the staff was all over them talking, checking on them, 10mins after they sat down THEY had THEIR salads. I finally got my second cup of coffee after about 10mins. And the hostess walked by and almost knocked the empty cup off the table. I sat it right on the outside edge of our table with the handle out, CLUE. We noticed a couple that were there before us, as we were leaving, a waitress was taking their order. Also at about 6:15 the hostess turned away a younger couple, there were plenty of tables. Well if they were on their game they (the business) would have been ok. Food ok, had good flavors. Staff needs work to be more attentive, cooks need more training. I WAS going to tip Sarah very nicely, but that didn’t happen. Guess the staff thought we were lower class. Emphasis on the word thought. No wonder us simi locals call it McCallywood.

I found someone else’s gum under my plate. And paid $22 for a tiny salad with hard chicken and soup. Spinach artichoke dip was great.
